You could never go wrong with Snoop and Dre, so I have to give this a listen later, too, just for the nostalgic vibes these two have together.

However, I do recognize that Snoop hasn't exactly had a good album in a long time; he's kinda like Ice Cube in that they're both Hip-Hop vets releasing music over the past decade, and then some, but the majority of that hasn't been very good.

I stopped checking for Cube albums a long time ago because he just sounds awful with terrible beats, I've felt similarly with Snoop but I've honestly never listened to Snoop's discography in full like some of y'all have so I just assumed most of his stuff after Last Meal besides singles wasn't worth checking out, that's something I gotta do one day, go through his entire catalog.

A bunch of Snoop albums are worth checking out…

Blue Carpet Treatment - Fantastic
7 Days of Funk - Great
Bush - Great

Bacc on Death Row - Good
Paid Tha Cost to be Tha Boss - Good
Rhythm & Gangsta - Good

Some of the production on this is very good but it's still overproduced (much like the 'Compton' album) and the problem here with Dre isn't so much that everyone is expecting 'The Chronic' because '2001' was very different.... but it was updated/refreshing and sonically it was a masterpiece, it moved production forward, it was cutting edge much like it's predecessor.

The production on this isn't cutting edge. It's what I would call "safe" and "top 40"
