its definitely is a spectacle; in the first movie it just became about the neurosis after the birthday party. here, movie tows the line between the starlet's personality and the demon parasite, obviously to achieve the movie's ending. i gave it a 7, though i don't know how much more I can watch yet another reenactment of the Salem witch trials on my HDTV

I don't know why some are saying it's the first movie, but bigger like it's a bad thing. That's literally every sequel in every genre. :heh:

The scenes in this movie that made me squirm in my seat and wince was the hair pulling. THAT I can't watch in any show or movie.

I felt more sorry for Rose in the first one. She was a good woman but she couldn't catch a break no matter what she did and everyone in her life was a piece of shyt. Skye Riley caused the crash that injured her and killed her boyfriend when they had their Breezy/Rihanna moment lol.

The sound design is excellent in both movies.

This and Late Night with the Devil are the two top horror movies of the year.

Finally watched like the first one I didn't like the ending :yeshrug:Basically movie was a waste of time for at least half because everything we saw didn't happen. Naomi killed it on the acting side but plot wise this entity needs to start losing :hubie:

Was there any doubt in your mind if

Skye Riley was going ro kill someone?

Rose struggled with that information when she got it in the first movie. Skye never got that information in this one, but when I was watching it I was shell have no problem killing someone for herself.

Both these movies were trash more so the second one. The first one had a bit of an intrigue but this one was just loopy.

I've been waiting for a chance to peep this in a isolated setting. It was hands down the best experience I had in a movie theater this year. But that was with the help of surround sound for effective audio, and a full audience that was crazy into the movie.

Now I'm curious about how it'll feel alone, on a dark night...I feel like it might not be as good, which is rare for horror. But it happens with some flicks like Paranormal Activity and some of the better jump scare movies.

Not as good as the first. Too long and not enough of the demon for me.

Happy it performed well though. I still like the concept. Great actress and visuals.

Either I'm losing interest in the horror genre or these shyts suck. 2022 was a fire year for horror, 2023 was solid, but 2024 has been disappointing. Late Night With The Devil was a dope concept and fun ride until they completely botched the ending by leaving far too much to interpretation. Terrifier was interesting, Terrifier 2 was okay but by the end I was a bit tired of the gore porn. I still haven't even attempted to cut on Terrifier 3 because i heard it also lacks a plot. Enough is enough.

I loved the first smile on my first watch, the couple times after it didn't hit the same :ld:
Now this new Smile I cut off after 40 minutes cause the sht was just dragging. Not good cinema.

I'm an adrenaline junkie, I need to be engaged the whole way through. Not on no Michael Bay shyt because I can enjoy a movie like say The Hateful Eight but again it has to be engaging. This was some corny bullsht here, I wanted to finish it just to read through this thread, but it was literally unbearable so I cut it off to dig this thread up and complain.

fukk Smile 2.

Trap was so disappointing to me. Seconding @hex’s recommendation of ‘Perfect Blue’. Not explicitly horror, but I’d suggest ‘Mulholland Drive’ as a mindbinding, showbiz mystery.

I know it was filmed in Toronto but Trap honestly felt like a Canadian movie. Canadians should know what I mean. The girl they got for the pop star was horrible. YTV made for TV movie.
