I think the idea they were tryna portray (whether or not it was successful) was there was too much and too many other ppl depending on her going through with it to be able to back out. Basically her career was over if she didn’t follow through with the concert. As we all been saying assuming any of it was real I’m between either it being an aggressive possession where she was cooked from the beginning, which wouldn’t follow what they established in 1, medium where she was cooked after the bar scene, or conservative where she was cooked after the dancer scene, since we know the retreat or whatever was fake.

Or maybe her being so fukked up in the head already, as opposed to the girl in the OG made it easier for the entity to get to her earlier.

I went back and watched Smile 1 last night. Same thing happened to her. The "therapist" came to her house and cornered her, then put "her" fist down her throat. Then we go to the next scene like nothing happened. When in reality, we now know that that is when it's over basically. Everything from that scene til when the girl goes to the cabin in the woods is like 90% illusion, 10% reality because she is so delirious and confused. So with that in mind, in Smile 2, she was fukked the moment after the dance party trampled her in her penthouse because they reached down her throat the same way.

Interesting to see how he seemed to have agency over everything that was happening. He knew he was infected but he demon wasn't able to feed off of him like other people. He would've been cured from it too if he didn't get hit by the truck

It was also 6 days later..so he managed to keep his sanity for more than 5 days.

To be honest that would have been a very interesting movie to see how the demon was fukking with him and how he wasn’t reacting to it’s tricks.

A mentally stable person that has overcome their trauma and is mentally healthy to fight negative thoughts vs. a demon that feeds off trauma would be an interesting premise.

Like he is the immune one..

What's funny is, the viral marekting for this movie was Skye Riley performing. That was out before the first trailer.

I figured it out then but didn't mention it until the first trailer dropped.

The one guy locked up in the 1st one defeated it.

Either way, I liked this one better than the 1st, reviews weren't the best but I enjoyed it enough to watch it again when it releases on home video. It made it better that they didn't bother showing the demon in this one, I pretty much checked out after that. Up until that point I was all in.

To compare it to Smile, I look at it like Raid 2 - a bigger and more chaotic sequel, but just as good as the first (IMO).

Naomi Scott did her thing in this one. That one scene in the movie had to be inspired Watching it in 4DX was crazy, every jump scare had a puff of air blow into the back of your neck lol. The "headlight" one was

At first I felt kinda cheated that a certain portion of the movie was really a hallucination, but if they do a Smile 3, it would be interesting how they expand the fukkery.

We just got back from 'Smile 2' and once again.. I really like this series. Naomi Scott was fantastic in her role and she looked gorgeous with the short blonde hair. Her downward spiral in this was every bit as amazing as Sosie Bacon in the first one. One more note on Naomi Scott, apparently the songs from the movie are legit, they released a little EP for them and they aren't bad at all, giving me Demi Lovato/Lady Gaga vibes.

Now to the ending...

Completely fukked... I think we are to assume everything from the hospital on is a mindfukk sequence, correct? That's what makes sense to me. Now, I wonder, with all of those witnesses, can this thing spread to several hosts at once because if it can, the third installment will be complete anarchy
