like someone stated earlier, the solution is for FBA and FBA allies to build a wall of protection around them.

call, email, write letters whatever, and offer our support. see how we can at least contribute to their situation in a positive manner.

John 14:6
Summary:
- White elected officials ran this town for 100 years and exploited the black population
- All the white officials resigned in 2016 over corruption
- Black elected officials took over
- The town won a new Ford contract and now the white folks want back in

Moral of the story: Voting matters

The greatest progress for Black folks came from actively challenging the system for change and engaging in politics. Group Economics, "building" and all that definitely important, but unless we fight for protections to be put in place, the same thing will keep happening.

Eminent domain (which is being threatened here) doesn't stop by voting and politics. The people of that city already voted and put in black leaders. The STATE is threatening to take it away from a minority population. Keyword is "minority". Historically, this was always a problem for any type of real progress for black people. in the United States and still is one till this day.

300 murders a year
Its a slap to the face of all the negros who attempt to sell this idea that institutional racism and systematic abuse is somehow warranted by black people due to our poor treatment to one another or some supposed break down in black family.

The truth is historically white society has always shown their disdain for black progression all the way back to the compromise of 1877. Red shirt militias rifle gun clubs and the kkk bombed on progressive black towns and municipalities not because of black on black crime but because they were offended by our progress. Then turned around and told us pull ourselves up by the bootstraps.

Which is why when a clown comes with their fairytale narratives as if our current conditions in America is due merely to not believing in ourselves or not accepting christ or being lazy etc it's a flat out joke. This is a system that exploits and abuses human rights and until we deal with it on that level we not getting past it. We can't pray ourselves past it. We can't hope to change our names or identify some kind of lineage and think that sneaks us past it. The system stays the same regardless of titles or flags we wave.

I think a PR campaign that corners Ford into a stance of supporting the American worker and “giving back to small communities that are the backbone of this country” would be step 1. If Ford has to consider moving the site to save face and not be involved in the politics it could change things quickly. However, race can’t be the issue presented to the masses. It has to be packaged in a pro USA box for it to make sense and also highlight the town’s non-black residents as well. We need to use them like they use us. A face to get dollars moved in large amounts.

The next paragraphs says,
no i read that too. that wasn't a result of political change via regular election. the cacs got too comfortable doing illegal shyt and got caught red handed.

you're forgetting the history of white terrorism that kept black people who could vote on paper, from voting.

this is 100% not on them.
dont misunderstand me. i'm not blaming black people here. its more of an indictment on how much of a stronghold cacs had on the municipal level. how could that have lasted so long with no 3rd parties intervening and is that still happening in towns across the US; how can we change that

This makes no sense 100 Black Wall Streets have already happened and most of them still exist today

This town is in a white county, in a white state and in a white country. And it's 40 percent white. And the contract they got from Ford was given by white people. It's hard to argue that this is an exclusively "black affair".

I'm not justifying what's going on, but people need to discuss these situations with all the facts and not just emotion

i never said it was an exclusively black affair, my point is that it's a situation beneficial to a majority FBA town by proxy, and the Comptrollers office clearly has an issue with that.

he's trying to create justification for cutting them out, by pressuring black leadership that just stepped in after a century of abuse by cacs, to instantly fix their issues.

also please point out these black wall streets that still exist today?

what is your point? are you saying wealth is flowing amongst FBA communities? if anything that town is entitled to the benefits of that plant being there. has nothing to do with emotion.

Black people debating over economic models that will save us from white supremacy :mindblown:

Both black capitalists and black socialists failed to do what it takes to change our situation....you cannot change your material conditions until you educate the mass of your people to behave in a manner beneficial to the entire race.

This includes self-defense, control over resources and space. Capitalism and socialism do not consider the downfalls of close proximity to or enemies, nor do they account for the irrational behaviors that comes from cacs.

The very point of this article (to me) seems to be that we cannot do business at all without them meddling in our affairs and either hindering or hijacking.

So the issue is bigger than what form of economic system you want to vouch for. The economy is one subset of a bigger issue.

The biggest problem is there are a lack of Black people in Real Estate Development. That is the source of power. They control everything resources, lobbying power, voting power, city contract negotiations, tax benefits, investment funds, etc etc. There's a term called "going up the Supply Chain". Real Estate Development and Banking are at the top. We are never taught that. We think too small and compete on a small scale. We can't be flipping one house or have a 1 man Credit Repair Business and think we putting a dent in White Supremacy

Real Estate Developers control your city, your state, and the country

"Mason is 60% Black and includes descendants of men, women and children enslaved in the area before Emancipation. For more than a century the town was led by White elected officials."

am i misreading? if there are 60% black people and 40% white people...how can the mayors be white for 100 years? there are more black people? and they could have voted for at least half a century?

am i off here?

you're assuming everyone in town votes for mayor and aldermen (and that we all vote for the black candidate :francis:)

one of those demographics probably had more money to campaign, connections to leverage, etc etc

My point is that people misrepresent the history of "Black Wall Street" it was a prosperous black district in Tulsa. But there were prosperous black districts all over the country. Harlem in NY, U street in DC, Hill District in Pittsburgh. People look at the nickname Black Wall Street and assume that means it was the financial hub of black America but that's not true. Even the Greenwood District that was destroyed, got rebuilt and it still exists today...

Alot of y'all need to realize alot of these small black southern towns are ran by good ole boys.

If the laws doesn't protect black people and be taken away legally when cacs feel like what makes you think this is the way? The biggest problem with black people is not being able to get loans or access like cacs do that's why you don't see black people in Real Estate.

To be a real estate developer you need access to capital and to be highly educated two things that Cacs have historically kept away from ADOS. The tide is turning and we are improving but we are behind because of road blocks set by cacs.

I’ve noticed a lot of good threads here get ruined by party politics. Why are people arguing for 2 equally racist sides with different tactics? Black progression is neutralized by Democrats by lumping us in with “minorities” and “POC” and by Republicans with intellectual dishonesty.

Instead of being the chess pieces (pawns) we should play chess and vote based on which party is offering the most for us during elections and hold them accountable by voting them out if they don’t deliver.

This blind faith bs hasn’t gotten us where we need to be. Both parties are full of shyt, so we need to be strategic. I don’t understand carrying the torch for groups that don’t actually give a damn about you or your people and fighting your own people over your blind faith.

This must really be your first account here..
