It was evident after Shannon’s departure that he was carrying Skip and the show. Now, he’s elevated to a whole different stratosphere while Skip is looking struggling to keep Undisputed afloat.

Nobody wants to hear Skip anymore….He should ride off into the sunset.

Bayless has too much pride to allow anyone else to shuffle the deck and he's alienated those he worked best with (Jenny & Shannon) with his attitude. He's a captain on a sinking ship that no one with options would ever board. 95% of his current cast are only there because they were let go or ostracized (unfairly in Irvin's case) at other networks. Keyshawn, Playmaker, & Nichols would all still be at their respective networks had they not gotten shown the door in one way or another. The show in its' current iteration is done and is dying a slow, painful death.

I used to put it on as background noise when driving home, making the kids dinner or working out. Now, it could air the final episode tommorow and I wouldn't know it until I checked this thread two weeks after the fact.

It's over.

A blind man could have seen this coming. Skip sunk his own ship with his attitude. Nothing lasts forever, you just have to hope the end is you riding off into the sunset as opposed to banished under the veil of darkness. He went out with a whimper, and has no one to fault but himself.

If SAS feels that he can benefit from it, then he’d definitely consider it and then go on every show bragging about how he threw Skip a lifeline.

That’s essentially what he did with Shannon.

A skip and Shannon reunion on espn would be stupid. Let Skip just do his podcast or a YouTube show or something.. go do radio, anything but first take.

Not the best but one of the best ways to evaluate someone’s value/demand away from the network.

Stopped watching this shyt once live sports started again post-pandemic, and to be honest was already decreasing my attention pre-pandemic. But The Pandemic bought them some extra time with me...

Skip is way past time to just retire. His shyt got old a long time ago...

Feel the same way about First Take, I stopped watching BSPN the same way...
