Single men over 30: Why aren't you married?

Someone should get married if they want to to whoever they want as long as that person is an adult and consents. Why does someone have to get married around 30? Get married whenever you're ready to and if you feel that you can handle that responsibility.

I'm not 30 but, it's creeping on me. 27, so it's three years away. I just got out of a relationship which kinda has me bummed but on the other hand its for the best because im still selfish and i'm not ready to give up my goals, and i felt myself doing it for her, tryna to switch plans around to include her in them. i really don't see myself marrying or getting serious with a woman until i'm 35ish. I really just wanna focus on accomplishing everything i want to do and solidifying my future.

Thank you for proving me right about how selfish a lot of women are. We are having an adult conversation, but because you don't like what you read, and misunderstood, you call me an idiot. Fellas, pay attention. Imagine if she was my ex, and can't take the fact that she can't live off of me!

First of all, I wrote that the child support will be low, meaning, you will give her enough to do all the things you mentioned, but not so much that you are paying for everything. Women can work, and make good money now, so im not footing the bill for her lifestyle. That gas to take them to school, I can pay for that, but she needs to pay for the rest. Milage isn't that long for school, so save the bullshyt. Utilities, she can pay for that, if not, the kids need to be with me. The health, and dental insurance, I pay for that. The same as everything else. If she wants to eat name brand food, and eat out all the time, she can pay for it. Why would I give her a shyt load of money, and know most of the things a child needs such as food, and clothes, I can pay for a much cheaper price? Save the bullshyt for some other sucker.

When my children come to daddy's house, they will get the world. When they go to their mothers house, that's on her to do the same. If she was strong enough to break up the family, she is strong enough to support the family when I'm not around anymore.

You guys really need to stop watching so much tabloid TV. Women are not living off men via child support. That's a damn myth and a half. You're so obsessed with keeping money (you probably don't even have) your children are going to be spending most of their life with a woman who is likely going to have the lion share of child rearing and financial responsibilities going by your system of child maintence.

You going to give your child the world every other weekend at your house? Lol. Fool. Your kid don't need the world they need to live comfortably with all the perks and privileges that can be afforded to them.

And yes if you ever find yourself in that situation try to get custody of share custody with your ex. I bet you won't.

and "F" because i'm in my late 20's and all of my friends ran off and got married and all are divorced except one who is basically a doormat for his wife. He's the kind of guy that jokes about "sleeping in the dog house" when they get into arguments but I genuinely think he does when she's mad at him.

Nobody gets married expecting to get divorced. Usually if you're putting a ring on it you have a vested interest in them staying around forever, but it never seems to work like that (at least in my circle of friends and acquaintances).

TBH i'm still trying to find a reason why men would want to get married There's not much in it for them.

-consistent sex? after the honeymoon and especially after kids that activity drops to once per month at best.

-The ceremony is for the woman.

-If you get divorced she gets to take half of your shyt.

-If you get a prenup, it only accounts for things you had before you were married. So if you get married and buy a house a second car a fouton set and a vacuum cleaner, you're getting fouton and vacuum and she gets the house and car.

-regularly cook meals? Ha, modern era social media women don't cook anymore you'll be eating Macdonalds and pizza 7 days per week and like it.
