When he came to the Celtics he hid behind Paul Pierce on offense and never dominated on that end of the floor again. As a matter of fact that's when he started to be known for his defense. For some reason when I think KG I think Twolves great before I think Celtic great
My bad was thinking of this
KG is a TWolf....
Those Celtics years were freelance years...
Till this day he’s the best player that franchise has ever had. Which isn’t saying much because they are are 23 year old expansion team but still, my point stands. He came into the league with the team and made them relevant. They haven’t made the playoffs since 2004, which is also the year he won MVP. That’s 14 years ago, I was in the fukking 4th gradeof course.
6 great seasons, an NBA Title, ECF appearances, resurrected one of the goat franchises in sports..
what are they gonna retire his number in Minny for? what they gonna celebrate? a bunch of 1st round exits to the Spurs and Lakers
Minnesota is not a basketball city, they dont even care.
They earned that shytHey man, fukking Memphis retired both ZBo and Tony Allen’s numbers so I can’t say these things surprise me anymore.
Celtics need to chill though. They have the most retired numbers in the league. They gonna be having a bunch of nikkas rocking #53 and #78 in 2040
I agree with everything in this post.Hell yeah. KG is a Legend in Boston. His year in Boston’s n will be remembered more than his years in Minnesota just like Ray Allen time in Boston(Ray Number shouldn’t be retired tho). They didn’t have the great numbers as earlier in their careers but they had ALOT of memorable moments.
