3 digit #s >Retiring jerseys is dumb in general. It won't be in our lifetime but eventually they'll have to let that shyt go before they run outta numbers
Rondo was not a liability especially in the role he had.Rondo was a role playing liability on that championship squad
KG was the defensive anchor.
Rondo is also a player who everyone involved with that era says the Celtics would have no ring without. I agree in a vacuum Rondo hasn't done enough to have his jersey retired. But looking at how the Celtics operate if KG gets one, Rondo is probably getting one. Ray would have his number up there also if not for going to Miami. They like to retire damn near EVERYBODY involved in their titles.Rondo was a freaking second year player who averaged 10 / 5 their championship season. He also played TWO more seasons with the Celtics.
Again, KG is a 5x all-star, DPOY, 1 all-nba, 5x all-defensive team, clear cut best player on their championship team. That's in six seasons with the Celtics.
Rondo shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as KG, you're insane.

Boston was not winning that title with Eddie House as their starting point guard. That’s not true. Again, Rondo wasn’t that important to that championship squad, he didn’t become a centerpiece until later.
Rondo was NOT the 4th most important player on that squad.
Leave big Z out of this
