It won't be the downfall because that's what they are going for. like I said before, this show is written for "sex and city" career driven single (mostly white) women. Examples:
Fun quirky ethnic assistant gal pal
Insecurity about being judged for her merit at work rather than physical attributes
Family member criticizing her hair
Colleague man splaining to her
Prioritizing her career over everything else that society deems more important (in this case being a superhero)
Six figure student loan debt (stats show young white women are more likely to have huge student loan balances)
Whether or not this is good or bad is up to you. I am not a feminist so to me this is harmful propaganda but not everyone will see it that way. (I enjoyed both prey and even captain marvel so I can enjoy female led entertainment, despite their flaws). I will say though that the comic book movie genre won't survive on a female audience alone
Btw having worked in large law firms, a meeting room full of old white men in an LA big law firm is completely unrealistic

I call what you're going thru Female Ghostbusters Syndrome: when you know the thing they made is garbage but you don't want to be associated with the racists, sexists, homophobes and alt-right weirdos that are also complaining, so you just keep your mouth shut.
Happened with Captain Marvel; currently happening with a certain Star Wars TV show character; etc. These media companies are quickly moving to the point where people aren't gonna even critique the bad writing, poor characterization, whatever. We'll just slowly stop watching.

it's absolutely that. we can't talk about the fact that movie fukkin sucked b/c it makes you sound like an incel. but that movie fukkin sucked no matter who was in the cast.
The ratings on these new shows (Ms Marvel and She Hulk) are low compared to their other shows. People aren't watching like they were Loki, Wanda vision, etc
