Shaq would be a monster on offense but y'all telling me he would be guarding the 3-point line on defense? :beli:
Stopping the pick and roll? :beli:
Moving his feet on switches on an island? :beli:

Shaq is an all-time great player but you really think he would not struggle on defense in this era? :shaq2:
Yes to all of this

Shaq is arguably the most freakish athlete ever

Too bad he didn't maintain his conditioning. I'll move off my original position, Shaq could eat in this era if he maintains his Orlando form. But, honestly, do you actually think he would?
He did not have the same focus that other greats had. Shaq got lazy and bloated. He routinely needed to play himself into shape throughout the season because he got out of shape in the offseason. So, you think he would have the willpower to stay in good conditioning when he demonstrated in his career that he didn't.

You had to google Orlando Shaq????
Get outta here and watch some Disney XD nikka

Nah, don't blame me because you're incapable of educating "Disney XD nikkas". :manny:

I mean he wouldn’t be checking a 3 shooter coming down the court. He would just get pick and rolled every time down and switched to a shooter and get destroyed. Would be tired out quickly

I disagree.

Let's put some meat on this. What team in the NBA would destroy Shaq in the PNR? Only team I can put my hand on is the Warriors and still playing D.Green at the 5, Tell me how long D.Green staying in the game before he gets 3 fouls on Shaq and then what, you either moving KD to the 5 to guard a Shaq from 96-2001 or you bringing into the game a Big? So how will Shaq be a liability? when GS or whoever that's playing that small ball will be in foul trouble?

Only thing that will help out teams playing small ball would be hack-a-Shaq, if PNR would have been the thing to defeat Shaq, teams back then would have been putting Shaq in PNR and he would have gotten exposed.

If you even inject Houston, Shaq wouldn't switch on PNR unless it's a blown assignment, he'll roll to the rim with ole boy they have #15, so I ask, what team would kill Shaq in a PNR?

If you can list the two PNR players?

Have u been watching the games? Houston did that every play on gsw :dead: they would consistently switch until they get the matchup they want.

They was running 1/4 high screen until they got who they wanted. Harden was being guarded by curry, loony or bell everytime down.

Every team in the league is playing he same way, 1/4 high screen and switch to bigs and killing them. Bron keep getting checked by looney, bell or curry.

It’s so easy to get the matchups u want.

1. Nobody has to switch on a PNR. Houston switched because of the way the were playing.

2. 1/4, Shaq is not a 4? He would be a 5, so again, who at the 5 position would knock down 3's on either GSW or Houston team? D.Green, Clint, Tucker? Name me a player that's in the NBA today that plays the 5 that's killing it behind the arc? I'll name you 2, Boogie, AD, and they are close to the same size as the 94-2000 Shaq

3. Every team plays that way because there are no post men. Everyone is pretty much the same size looking at it from a basketball I.Q. There are no solid big men outside of D.Howard.

4. Shaq wouldn't wasn't even switching when he was in PNR ball in 96-2001 Lol. What makes you think the coaches will have him switching on every PNR?? because they do it now? Lol

Bro what the hell are u talking bout. If u don’t switch and try to get around the prn u gonna give up a open 3 or a open drive. Every team is switch now. Not cause they want to, who wants to have they center on a pg, sg or sf.

It’s call a 1/4 pnr lol, but they pull 5s in that blender also. Which is why gsw didn’t Zaza or Magee at all last series. And why looney and bell is playing more instead of zaza and Magee.

Dwight fukking sucks compared to most of the top bigs right now. He not had a post move and played in the worse center era ever.

Do u think coach want they bigs to switch no or they being forced to switch?

Come on, u wilding out bro.

Lol, bro, you have options on a PNR, switching is not the only defensive thing you can do on a PNR, shade, go under, go over, pin, push, trap. I named 6 defensive options a defender can do on a PNR depending on where the PNR is happening, apparently you are thinking every PNR will be at the top of the key Lol.

ZaZa is dayum near 40, Of course he won't be able to keep up with Harden
McGee, I am not sure why he didn't play him, I'm not sure why he didn't play McGee, he could keep up with Harden.

1/4 is called 1/4 because 1= PG and the 4 = the PF or the person playing the 4 position Lol which coaches yells out 14 or the PG yells it out 14. There are 1-5 PNR = 15, 23 (the 2 guard and small forward), 2/3 PN, 45, Westbrook runs 15 high, Westbrook and Adams, but I digress.

Ok using your Bell and Looney point, aren't those players considered Big men?? If so, then they would be guarding Shaq right and Shaq guarding them right? So why would Shaq switch off on a Looney or Bell to guard Steph??, Does this even make any sense bro? Lol, come on, I know you see the game from a fan point of view, but put your coaching hat on for a minute, why not have Shaq, roll with the picker or just show hard (like he's forever and a day has done since he came in the league) let the person who is guarding go under the screen, or over the screen as I originally stated?

Again, Why would Shaq switch off on a Steph or KD (who are really the only two that runs PNR) Klay comes off screens,

Why would Shaq switch off on a Harden? Who is the only one that really runs a Pick N Roll for Houston? CP would have a high pick n roll but he usually tries to get near the 16 to 17ft area, it's not like CP is a 3 point shooter, So again, that whole Shaq would have to switch thing is moot.

Dude can roll with the picker who in this case will be either Looney or Bell and allow space for the person who is defending curry to step through or go over the top.

You can't fit what you think into something without actually looking into it in depth.

How many times has Shaq switched on a PNR in his career?? Lol. I can count on 1 hand

You do know they ran a 1/4 PNR when he was playing with the Lakers, that's all Stockton and Malone ran, Payton and Sam Perkins, etc. I can go on and not nan time Shaq switched on the play every time.
