Same dude who said and I quote

“If you need strategy to beat me, you’re soft”

Straight retard analysis, brodie has never had a sane take on basketball, that’s why u ain’t ever see dude coach or anything

Y’all are soft. Shaq is criticizing these guys no different than the way he used to get criticized before he started winning. These are max level players. They need to use the criticisms as motivation to get better like the real superstars do.
Man please. Shaq “criticizes” players he doesn’t even watch. That “I apologize. I didn’t know your game” thing by him is embarrassing proof that he just shyts on younger players for the sake of doing so. He has no respect for the game

It's super unfair to put Rudy Gobert and Ben Simmons in the same sentence.

Ben is basically getting paid to sit and watch games courtside while playing pickup games and attending fashion shows. He is unserious about basketball.

Rudy Gobert is a defensive specialist. That what he always was but he has made the Minnesota Timberwolves a much more competitive team since he has gotten there. He is a defensive anchor that landed on a team surrounded by scorers and he has elevated their floor.

Clearly Minnesota valued that and paid him accordingly.

Shaq helped make it possible for the nba to get to a point where people like Rudy get overpaid in a flawed system

He can talk about his pockets :hubie:

A larger portion of nba money should go to retired players

Players have always been overpaid

The existence of the max contract isn’t gonna make that go away

The first player to ever get a $100 million deal in the NBA wasn’t MJ or Magic or Bird or Hakeem or Malone or Shaq…it was Juwan Howard

The entire reason max contracts were implemented by the NBA is because Minnesota gave $126 million to a 21 YO Kevin Garnett who at that point had never even made an All-NBA team. Other owners got scared of how that was gonna reshape the market and used their leverage in the lockout to add the max.

So yes in theory a player like Rudy shouldn’t be making the same as Steph or LeBron but players getting overpaid is a formality regardless

Rudy and Ben obviously not the worst players ever but I get why oldheads got animosity. Imagine bein a player like Shaq even a Alonzo Mourning or shyt even Brad Daughtery and you seein players you was WAY better and more talented then, you put in real work on ya game while they skillsets at least on offense the same as they rookie seasons aint improve shyt and they get these $200 mill contracts. You can say its corny or wrong and I get it but I understand em too :manny: we get inflation an all that but Daughtery made $20 mill for his career while bein a 5x all star, 2x All NBA in a golden age of position had top 10 MVP finishes and you at home seein this fraud Baguette Biyombo cant attack a mismatch or beat 6'2 guards who switched on em on $200 mill contract I'd be sick :scust:

Shaq always been one of the most insecure people ever though so not surprisin and he know alot of older era players so he probably voicin they shyt too on a bigger platform
Imagine being Moses Malone and seeing Alonzo Mourning make more money than you did in your entire career in one season.

Pay for performance
I support that
These max contracts are almost like participation trophies now
Everyone gets one

Lmaoooooooo

Teams do pay for performance. Thats why they use most of their cap on max players and split the rest between replacement level guys.

The league spends 49% (or something) on players. Thats going to the players, but which players?

The teams in the league would rather spend most of their cap on top performing max contracts than replacement level players.

The worst NBA player ever, btw, is Tobias Harris

Just because the sixers a flop ass team that none of their fans actually seen win with their eyes, doesn’t mean they gonna harass Harris

That’s a formality as long as the money keeps going up

Jayson Tatum’s supermax deal is damn near equal to Kobe’s career earnings with the Lakers
I'm agreeing. As revenues go up, salaries go up.

That post and Shaq complaining are just mad. I'm sure Wilt Chamberlain was mad at how much Shaq was making.
