NFL made record high profits last season even with Kaep kneeling for 16 games AND starting. This sport has entire cities by the balls, extorting them for free stadiums. They survived players that have beat they wives, murdered folks, CTE, drugs, steroids. Most franchises still sell out every damn game and have waiting lists. Again, these cacs aint gonna stop watching football because a backup QB kneels.
I don't doubt or disagree with any of that...the sport will survive either way.

But, I still stand by what I said earlier...few if any are willing to be the sacrificial lamb to experiment with their money up front, especially for someone you expect to really have no impact on your team by being on the bench.

It was made clear by some people that they would not support their team if he was on a roster...whether or not they were lying...or if they could be replaced by other fans who don't care...is something else. But it isn't a risk I think most are willing to take for a guy like Kaep.

People can agree with that or hate the idea...but I honestly think that's where the NFL is at with it.

We can hypothesize about it all day...but the question remains...is he worth the risk? There's very little reward if any on the field by signing him but business wise, there's a ton of risk by doing so. You stand to lose alot more in this instance.

Michael Vick OTH back in 07' sort of went through the same thing...he was still ultra talented by the time he came out of jail...teams thought he was worth the risk because of what he brought to the table

These rascals wouldn't hire their own brother if they thought hemight mess up money in their business, but they don't want to think about that being the reason teams are hesitant to pull the trigger on Colin

outside of nascar, football (college in particular) is more closely associated with a southern brand of conservatism than any other sport. don't be shocked that the NFL is filled with black people saying things and behaving in a manner that you're going to think is c00nish. from pee wee to high school they are in close contact with and being influence by right wing rednecks, then they are passed on to the right wing rednecks in college who make sure that they are surrounded by the "right" kind of white people and showered with cac bytches who are sometimes members of sororities that wouldn't admit black girls. they make connections with right wing boosters who are going to keep them close as long as they are performing for the old alma mater. if they're lucky they make it to the NFL and their "owner" is a prominent right wing donor who uses the power of the purse to keep his niggras inline. if they don't make it and were good niggras they can hit up those booster connections they made in college for a job. a lot of them have just been trained and conditioned and can't help it.

ray lews, michael vick, etc. they didn't like the feeling of being out in the cold so they'll do whatever is necessary to feel the warmth of massa's house.

yup, think back to Mike Vick. He went through the same thing. He couldn't get a spot even as a 3rd stringer despite having the ability to start on almost any team.

Andy Reid was the one coach that gave him a shot on the Eagles and only because they needed someone immediately at that point. If I remember it correctly...there was no bidding, infighting between teams to get him--no one wanted to touch him, he was unemployed for a while.

Vick got signed to the Eagles with the league minimum if I remember where it was a very low risk, with very high reward component to it, Andy saw that much in it pull the trigger on it. What'd they pay him a few 100k?

If Vick were the same level of productivity as Kaep was...he probably wouldn't have gotten in anywhere.

EDIT: online sources say Vick was signed by the Birds for 1.6 mill with no money guaranteed.

meh...im not watching 17 minutes of this....

bottomline: kaep is not good enough to deal with the headache his being on the team will cause....every single player every single week will get asked about him being on the team....shyt's a disruption....

People are taking this issue too personally on here.

If you owned a barbershop/salon in a black neighborhood, and one of the barbers kept going on and on about how black women are not good enough for black men.
Would you keep that barber on?
Even though he offended a large portion of your customer base?

What does that barbers social/political views have to do with your barbershop?

Its the same reason why men in corporate environments wear dark suits and generally have short hair.
Its because business isnt about how fashionable you are...its about the business and your customers.

Wether you agree w/ Kaep or not doesnt matter...he's making the game about him.

Jackie Robinson received sackfuls of death-threat letters for decades and every loss the same happens to black coaches in the NFL. The Dodgers and NFL teams are still making money.

Our "sponsors" and "fans" is a lame excuse. For every sponsor that pulls out, there's another moving in to capitalize on the attention.

And once again may we add Colin Kaepernick has committed no crime nor is under investigation for one.
