thats the whole point. he not creating awareness protesting in his driveway.
yeah but that's what the price of what he's experiencing comes into play. He used the league as a platform for protest. The existence of the league was never intended to be the platform for him to use for protest.

yes...because the subject isnt important.
its about an employee making your business about them and their opinion.

Kaep was hired to throw a football, entertain people, and make sure sponsors pay for advertising space.
Nothing else

Absolutely true but he's still a man, more importantly a black man, who has witnessed injustices against the black community and has the right to speak out on it.

:why: did anyone actually watch the segment or are the people in this thread just mimicking someone elses response to it? The Ravens owner was pretty much on the money.

And Ray made some solid points...throughout all of this, I have yet to see or hear anyone disagree that Kaep has the ability to land a roster spot on a team somewhere...hell, he could probably start on atleast 3-4 different teams.EVERYONE has pretty much agreed with that...whether it's Ray Lewis on UD or Will Kane on FT....

BUT it's obvious that this isn't just about ability....it's about risk to the brand name...nothing more, nothing less. And from the business perspective...Kaep's controversy outweighs his talent and/or ability. Teams don't believe that a backup 2nd or 3rd string QB is worth the chance of any negative blow back...it's really just that simple.

Lol like the Ravens would go in the Red financially if they signed Kap. Bruh the league and everyteam is a PROFIT, shyt is just a cop out. One sponsor leaves, another one steps right in. You see it all the time with these stadium names

What you don't understand is Kaep sealed his fate the moment he kneeled. :russ:The NFL holds grudges like noooo other. The man even said he didn't plan on kneeling but the damage is done. There have also been several people such as Joe Montana & Colin Cowherd who cite poor play as the reasoning for him not having a roster spot.

But you're not getting it...YES the league's bottom line will still make money....

BUT you're asking the people who run the place to put their reps and jobs on the line...

What about the Owner?
What about the President/GM who sign off on it?
What about the coaches who sign off on it?
What about the scouts who sign off on it?

They all take "behavioral problems" into consideration when they assess players...

If Kaep causes problems, or if there is a major (even if temporary blowback), if there are protests that bring negative attention to the team...who do you think pays for that?
Who do you think gets blamed for it?
Who do you think is at risk of losing their jobs, and any future employment elsewhere in the league or sport?

You think the "league" is gonna say...":ld:hey we're in the green...so we're good..."

First thing that's gonna come up is "Who the hell signed off on this???"...and everyone is gonna duck and run and finger point.

If you're a GM/President or other Admin staff or coaching staff, would you do it?

The only thing there really is to gain on any of this for the league and it's staff is some random daps on thecoli...

fair enough...but they're other ways to make a change that doesnt put your lively hood in jeopardy.

Lets be honest...him kneeling/sitting really didnt change any opinions...it just caused a media firestorm.
If he wanted to actually be a cause for change...he would need to offer up some solutions, and take the time to work it out.

Ive said it before, and ill say it again...he made it all about him.
Great, your sitting out of the national anthem...now what?

Then he starts calling cops pigs, and supporting Che Guevara...those arent the actions of a man that wants black people safe.

I listened and it was obvious that Ray was full of shyt. First, he tried to make the point that Joe Flaco will be back soon so their is no need for Kaep. SOOOOOOO why bring in RG3 or any other QBs :why:. Then he try to say it isnt about the sponsor, it is about whether or not he can help the team... SOOOOO why sign no name talent :why:. Clearly he was full of shyt and couldn't hide it well enough

I believe more than one thing can be true. I believe there's racism AND capitalism in play in this situation. I believe the owners are lookin at it from a business standpoint(capitalism) , not to say there ain't any racist owners cause there's a 99.9% chance there are, but I believe THE VIEWING PUBLIC is where the true racism is bein exhibited and is dictating this whole situation.

I believe it's businessmen, who could be racist themselves but I personally believe are about the almighty dollar first, tailoring their decisions to accommodate a racist society.

I believe that's how the 1% stays the 1%, by keeping the bottom 99% separated.

Do you NOT see/read all the stuff he does for the community or you're just choosing not to?
