Mara did say that he recieved the most emotional emails ever concerning the signing of Kaepernick. I believe these included season ticket holders.

But I think a Kaepernick signing could bring a sleuth of more fans to the team he signs. But is it worth losing season ticket holders and sponsors? Will the new fans replace the revenue of the potential lost of season ticket holders?
And I don't think people really see how deep this goes....when Kaep talked about "cops"...it sort of resonated with people associated with any profession related to it, it also resonates with people who are related to people in those professions; people's spouses, cousins and other relatives...it also includes the military and those who heavily are on the "support our troops" talk. If you talk bad about cops, firefighters, the military etc...you are really going to a point of no return...

If I'm not mistaken...he also made comments about our military presence in other countries...and support for Fidel Castro...

If he's on a roster....the kneebending won't be the only thing that's talked about...but those comments will resurface on TV for discussion and they will be highlited.

TYRONE GA!
Him and Mike Vick were given 2nd chances after horrendous off the field acts that put them both in jail.

They are forever grateful that they let them back in they never criticizing the league about anything

this nikka Ray ain't even pull the trigger though. That what makes his incident so :mindblown:
It was the nikkaz he was covering for (who admitted they did and got off on self defense). WE SHOULD BE shytTIN ON RAY FOR SNITCHIN AFTER TURNING STATE'S WITNESS!!!

fukk these athletes man, they've shown their colors.

:why: did anyone actually watch the segment or are the people in this thread just mimicking someone elses response to it? The Ravens owner was pretty much on the money.

And Ray made some solid points...throughout all of this, I have yet to see or hear anyone disagree that Kaep has the ability to land a roster spot on a team somewhere...hell, he could probably start on atleast 3-4 different teams.EVERYONE has pretty much agreed with that...whether it's Ray Lewis on UD or Will Kane on FT....

BUT it's obvious that this isn't just about ability....it's about risk to the brand name...nothing more, nothing less. And from the business perspective...Kaep's controversy outweighs his talent and/or ability. Teams don't believe that a backup 2nd or 3rd string QB is worth the chance of any negative blow back...it's really just that simple.
Did you watch it? Ray being a mouthpiece for his massa was trying to say it was solely about football ability. Mr. Sharpe was arguing that it was for things outside of ability.

I made my initial comments before watching the video.

The video was even worse than i imagined. :picard:

Ray up there talkin like he is team president and every move over the last 15 years has went through HIM. Even if there is a nugget of truth that he has some degree of influence, he pretty much put it out there that he talked to the team and GM about not bringing Kaep in for a try out. Thats despicable. He speaking like he is a owner and not a black man and talmbout Kaep couldn't help the team but some truck driver/ part time arena league player can? Just admit you c00nin Ray. Respectability politics is nothing but a component used by white supremacist. Shannon was right about black on black crime. If a criminal shoots a man, when he is apprehended he will be prosecuted and put in prison, Pigs kill folks, get go fundme accounts and their jobs back. Its called systemic racism, stop being a obtuse Uncle Tom. These white folks will never love your black ass.

On First Take today SAS said Kap is being black balled for his protest and owners don't want to sign him because they want to send a message to the other black players in the league.

SAS is slick and never goes full c00n. He tries to play both sides so he can get his money from the white establishment while not alienating black people entirely.

Yep they have to keep some credibility of being "controlled opposition" so occasionally they let the folks say something that will be truthful, I think today Fox let Shannon do that with Ray.
Nah breh while FS1 stay with the c00ns. I can honestly say that shannon has nkt c00n it up omce on that shiw ir before when he was on twitter or worked with CBS

It's mind boggling that Ray Lewis and Michael Vick of all people, especially considering their enormous legal troubles of the past, can be so c00nish...

That's what happens when the NFL give you a 2nd chance

the "controversy" is over black people being shot by police

they are saying their BRAND IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN BLACK PEOPLE BEING SHOT BY POLICE :mindblown: how is that escaping you nikkas, that's something that normal/acceptable to you?

yall would sell your own mothers into slavery if it made sense business-wise :scust: disgusting

But see here's the thing, active duty military personnel, at least the minority ones, were overwhelming in support of Kaepernick with the hashtag vetsforkaepernick or something like that. The media tried to say that Kaepernick was offending our troops and the troops have spoken out and shut that down. Now they can't use that as a talking point.

But I totally get what you're saying though, if you criticize one, you criticize the other even though the troops made it clear they knew where Kaep is coming from.

thats what its all about,Ray talking about "we" as if he really has a say so that trumps what the money says.....he doesnt think the risk of losing that money is worth signing a Kaep he may really not need to play.

really had the nerve to say the owners shouldnt care about what happens in the black community, when they have teams full of black players who you claim are like "family",who obviously care just like Colin, whether they protested or not.....the league sure dont mind making them wear pink for a month behind breast cancer though:martin:

Just a quick question...Let's say you sign Kaep, and he promises to not do it again...there's obviously alot of controversy and talk about it...in the media...you lose some people with that....but he's on your team as a 2nd or 3rd option...

What if he decides to do it again in publoic, with your team's jersey on TV? Now what?

FTR I'm looking at this purely from a Owner/GM perspective....

I mean.... Ray Lewis held a black man full Nelson style while his friend gave the black man gut punches to the stomach while hold a knife between his knuckles.

White people forgave him for that. So OFCOURSE Ray Lewis is c00ning....
