Who is rating Daboll highly? Most people would say he's not the biggest problem in that organization.

It's not his fault his GM thought it was a good idea to pay Daniel Jones instead of Saquon. The roster stinks.
They would’ve sucked with saquon the GM made the right decision to not resign tbh and jones was coming off a promising season

Does he even have an agent?

No mention of agent anywhere. That is part of the problem.
He does not have one

All these dudes love to not have an agent and act like it's some sort of black entrepreneurship.

"I'm saving money"

This whole debacle is why you need an agent..

An agent who is well connected can speak on your behalf to the other teams

This was one big mess from the gate :scust:

This dude tryna be his dad without an ounce of the talent his dad had at a position where you need to be laser focused
Cant really be mad at him. Deion is ok with it.

Crazy thing is Shedeur use to be way more humble a few years back. Prime hasn't tried to slow it down so we'll see if that works out.

Flacco is the starter

Pickett will be the backup

Watson contract is un tradable and plus that injury

I think the coaching staff prefer dillon over sanders

They going to let training camp go through before someone go in August
I think it's the reverse with the coaching staff and the players on Shedeur. It wouldn't make sense for the coaching staff to prefer a shorter, weaker armed, less accurate, less productive QB who didn't play in a pro style offense.

I think Dillon was initially the GM trying to appease the coach and fans by drafting a QB and Stefanski pushed back when the 5th round came around. I think the GM doesn't want Stefanski to be able to prove him wrong about Deshaun and doesn't want to provide him with a potential replacement for him.

He saddled him with a QB room last year that forced him to play Deshaun because Jameis is a known turnover machine and Dorian Thompson was known to not be able to throw past 10 yards. He was going to saddle him with the same scenario this season with a QB room where only Flacco can potentially complete a pass beyond 10 yards because we know Pickett can't and Dillon has a noted weak arm. I think it's similar to RG3 being the GM pick and Kirk Cousins being the coach's pick where the GM did a "here you go" with Dillon and Stefanski wasn't having it. In the video of the pick he definitely looks more pleased than the GM does in that video.

If Stefanski makes it work with Shedeur in ANY way the GM has to have a come to Jesus talk with everyone about figuring out how to navigate that guaranteed contract and potentially his job is on the line if Stefanski makes it work without Deshaun.

The owner Haslem allegedly forced them to draft Shedeur. Based on Stefanski and the GM’s stoic reactions after drafting him, that appears to be true.

"Shedeur didn’t have a great interview with Brian Daboll in a private visit," McShay said. "An install package came in. Preparation wasn’t there for it. [He] got called out on it. Didn’t like that. Brian didn’t appreciate him not liking it."

Mind you, this is the COACH. Not a staffer or coordinator. He told THE COACH he didn’t like him calling him out.

I blame Prime. He’s raised some self sustained, ‘respect no one but my daddy’ ass kids. It will work wonders when they’re running Well Off Media :banderas: But for football?! Yea fukk off. :heh: If I’m the coach get that know it all noodle arm kid out of my lockerroom

But they’re making it sound like every interview he had was like the interview with the Giants. That’s the only “bad” interview they’re citing as to why it went wrong. The takeaway from the other interviews is they primarily went wrong because Shedeur wasn’t a “good fit”, which is the Corporate code word they use everyday for Black people who don’t have a lowly “happy to be here” aura.

Not responding to you specifically, but a lot of y’all are lowkey revealing how y’all code switch around White folks to make them feel comfortable based on how you’re responding to these Shedeur interview reports.

He’s still talked about in the media as if he’s an above average coach who’s a victim of circumstances.

Maybe you will believe it when the white man says it. Had nothing to do with his talent. Boomer Esiason accidentally confirms the owners colluded while hating on Shaduer. They called him "enititled" and even didnt allow the GMs to draft him.

“I’m telling you right now, and I know this after talking to three different personnel people in the NFL this weekend, they didn’t even have him on their board. They took him off, and they took him off because the owner said, ‘Take him off, I don’t want that guy. I don’t want this … entitled person on our team,’ and I don’t blame them.”

And? At best that drops him to end of the 1st round. He aint the first to bomb an interview. It's clear now that if the owners didn't step in he would have went in the 1st round. Dudes have been drafted in the first round with much worse drama around them and all types of court cases and behavior concerns. But for the owners to collude and take him completely off the draft boards has nothing to do with his talent or ability to help a team win. They wanted to make an example out of him and they did.

As a black person, you should be rooting for this kid to succeed whether you like him personally or not. He's never been in any trouble.

I LOVE Baker Mayfield and he's the goat college qb for me, but he got arrested for PI and running from a cop. And while it's not really a "crime" per se, it's still an arrest. Shedeur has nothing like that in his background

He's a good looking kid, that grew up privileged, having contact with Brady etc and has a confidence that he generally backed up at a D1 level. Sure maybe he has some natural maturing to do, but they all do.

From their reaction to being drafted , he just wants to play football.

Facts and dudes here obviously haven’t interacted with NFL players in real life. Many of them are not very intelligent and I’m sure many still get drafted high despite shaky interviews. If Shedeur was on some “yessuh, no suhhh” vibes during the interviews he would’ve gotten drafted higher.
