Rocky grinded? That nikka blew off one mixtape with album level mixing and production and had every single magazine known to man on his dikk. Drake had way more material out than him before signed and definitely put more work in underground.

J. Cole was signed by The Warm Up another industry plant marketed as the every man in the Roc machine. Kendrick did grind but became an industry plant and is one of the most manufactured artist through the Interscope machine.

Drake came out of nowhere? So RFI and CS never happened. Drake wasn't buzzing on MySpace before signed, Replacement Girl video didn't get played late night on BET. SFG was pushed by the machine he was signed by that point.

He personally gave his tape to jay z thats different

I had this argument with my brother yesterday in the gym..

Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan just had like 100 songs leak, most unmastered, most garbage (werent meant to be released)

but a lot of rappers make a lot of songs, hundreds, til they find the 10-20 they like for an album..

but it seems like everytime Drake goes into the booth, its a complete song, fully mastered, and not a throw a way track..

wheres drakes 80+ throw away tracks for an album ? any album ? you telling me all 15 songs or whatever on an album, were the first 15 songs he did ? no ones that good of a rapper to not have throw away tracks.. we even get throw away tracks from people like Jay-Z and TI... but Drake has no throw away tracks ? where they at ? Thats how you know people ghostwriting his shyt / doing reference tracks cause once the blue print is laid out for a song, you can just replicate that til it comes out good and it removes the need for throw away tracks

:scust: this shyt is sickening bruh

The genre is really done. Ima be 40 flabby and sick telling my kids "yea outkast better than the cats yall listen to they actually wrote they bars" :mjcry:

I personally know dudes who, Drakes management team asked for music many times unsolicited, and identified themselves as HUGE fans of their work, yet when the dudes asked for blog links or anything to help their career, they got curved. All screenshotted stuff too. Toronto artists.

IMO its because they blackball artists like them who they feel threatened by.

Breh, if you ever felt up to it, do you think you could compile all these little facts you have into one thread? Just so we can have a more complete picture of how Drake and his camp really are.

That shyt would be extremely interesting to read, and valuable too, considering the Booth is one of the few places left that keeps it real.

I thought about it... But theres a lot of dudes I know personally that got fukked over by these dudes or blackballed and I dont think itll help there careers if their business is all out there. Maybe when this whole ghost writing fiasco dies down ill make a thread detailing everything I know.

Mostly its all about OVO management recognizing Toronto talent, asking for more unreleased music, then black balling when the dudes ask for industry connects or exposure connects.

And Jas Prince Jr. found Drake on MySpace and played some songs for Lil Wayne who decided to get him on YM/CM. How is it any different?

Drake was pushed on people from the beginning

"Wayne told me 'don't play me that shyt no more'"
"I slid Drake some music he wasn't supposed to have at the time"
