"Obviously if you can't pay, don't go to college. My parents, righteous as they are, had the foresight to plan ahead and save for my future. Don't tax me for your lazy, stupid family. The biggest problem with education of course is that people think that they deserve it. If you can't compete and get a scholarship, obviously you should work a minimum wage (which we will not negotiate) job for 20 years and just save up instead. That's fiscal responsibility. Our country can't handle your debt anymore, so stop robbing peter to pay paul. After all we already pay for your food and your parents healthcare, how much more do you need? You're lazy, greedy, and you have no ambition like me. I'm getting a startup going right out of college (so what if my parents help out. thats OUR money) and I'm gonna retire early because i'm smarter than you and work harder"

Take on 40k/year in student loans and don't bother ever paying it, brehs.

Personal responsibility thrown out the window, again.

:childplease:

Be a cheerleader for your favorite politician without understanding why you're cheerleading, brehs.

Nobody is talking about loan forgiveness, this is a bill that would allow people to refi these loans to today's rates. You know, like how you can with every other loan in the world.

Did you even read this or does the cape just put itself on whenever a thread says "Republican" in the title?

Dudes are advocating the government waging wars and bailing out corporations with the peoples money and then when the economy is so fukked...that those very people can't aspire to greater things...because they can't afford it...because the economy is fukked...because of the aforementioned idiocy regarding the peoples money...they're blaming the PEOPLE :laff:

Well... that argument can be used with any loan. :manny: But I think if you borrow money, you are obligated to pay it back. I mean shyt you wouldn't want to loan your man $300 just to have Uncle Sam come through and say, ":ehh: Nah, he don't need to pay you back."

Nah most of these guys (in here) are libertarians and don't support wars generally. or bailouts.

Either way they simply don't believe in reinvesting back in the populace on any level, so it is what it is. They want us to be on that gold standard again :laff: what a bunch of retards.

Shout out to Elizabeth Warren for trying, though :salute:

it would all go back to the economy anyway
college grads are the ones looking to buy houses, to have families
they are consumers
deburdening them leads to a happier society and it encourages college enrollment
If I have to vote where public money is best spent, this gets no better (public parks and libraries are a close second)
it's our money being spent for guns and corporations
we can choose it to be used for the welfare and happiness of our society

I hear u breh. I just think that if someone borrows money, they should pay it back. :manny: All this bill is really talking about is interest rates anyway, so it's a moot point.

See that's the thing though...the people who can't vibe with this believe in privatization of everything so you can't reason with people who think that things like police and fire and road workers should all be privitized shyt and run by corporations
