@Primordial

you see what I'm saying?

this bill was completely politcal.

democrats presented this bill full well knowing republicans wouldn't vote for a tax increase.

so instead of compromising (which repubs probably wouldn't have accepted anyways) they did this as a move to look good in the 2014 elections coming up.

yes, republicans are douchebags for not passing it and this should demonstrate how insane our congress is. regardless whether you're right or left. democrats pull the same shyt.

you have to wait until after the elections for anything to happen....if at all. (hint: nothing will change)

:manny: it was smart move politically, they predicted (correctly) that it will get presented by the media as

another example of republican obstructionism. But like you said it was completely disingenuous from the jump.

Don't sleep on Elizabeth Warren and her newfound "middle class crusader" steez either. She is one of the worst types of liberals out there.

She knows exactly what she is doing pushing these "save the middle class" bills with her name attached to them

without actually putting the work that could get those bills the necessary votes.

I wonder what will happen if all the students fail to pay their loans I mean you bail out banks but can't bail out a generation of students that can't buy homes etc...

That's what I'm saying. We need to start the "don't pay your student loans" movement. That will get these politicians to address the problem.

Or you can do what I did and cut back on unnecessary expenses, save your money, and pay your fukking loans off.

My parents didn't give me any money for school, and I didn't get any scholarships either, so I paid for college myself, so I don't care on a personal level about student loan legislation.

However, some of my coworkers are still in graduate school for Doctoral degrees and mope about loans. The tuition rates are insane, so SOMETHING has to be done.
