He was working out too hard for his fitness level, basically breaking down his muscle so much that he is now pissing it out.
I’ve been working out for mad years and I never heard of this. Put an old head on, how do you know if your working out too hard?

All newbies should be doing the strong-lifts 5x5’s and they can create a great foundation and amazing body changes :yeshrug:
No they shouldn’t

They should be doing light weight at high reps to learn proper form and prepare their bodies for a heavy 5x5 routine or future routines period.

You just don’t jump in and do 80% of your fukking max 5 times with improper form

The kidney damage is due to the breakdown of muscle releasing CK and if too much goes to the kidney it will overwhelm the kidneys. You gotta give IV fluids at a very high rate to help flush this out of kidneys. It’s also seen in marathon runners
So how do you avoid it?

You ain't mid 20s no more bruh:whoa:

I'm saying you didn't need to jump straight from bodyweight pull up to 45+ you could've worked your way up. Attach a 10 then next workout attach a 25. And most importantly hydrate hydrate hydrate
He should’ve jumped on a lat-pulldown machine and did maybe half of his bodyweight for high reps for atleast a couple week to a month then gradually work his way up to his bodyweight on that THEN go with his own bodyweight...

or you can skip a step and try to do his bodyweight for low reps but it wouldn’t be as efficient imo

ion see why ppl think that bullshyt...

i know a muhfukka who been a legit diet ..for 6yrs....nikka aint lost shyt but her edges....
Because nikka was posting shyt that is flat out wrong like he usually does.

Diet is ONE part of the equation to determine how healthy you are. Not the only thing. Ignoring the rest is gonna be to your detriment

Combination of exercise (including the time spent at the gym) + diet + sleep is what determines how healthy you are and quality of life. Skip out on any one of those 3 pillars and you're really doing your body and yourself a disservice

Just started working out... I was gradually working my way up in weights. Feeling good as hell. Trying to get a nice physique going. :ehh:

then...

I went to the gym with my bruh. nikka had me doing CrossFit with weights.

long story short... he had me do intense pull ups with a 45lb plate between my legs. Now my arms are swollen and locked up at the elbow in a L shape. My thighs and mid section on fire.

I was admit into ICU with Rhabdomyolysis. On an IV they are saying my kidneys was taking a beating.

I don’t think that’s the protocol for most 5x5 Beginner Programs. They start you at the Oly Bar and work up if you haven’t lifted before.
