You're being silly.

This push for "equality" doesn't help more people than it holds back.

Be careful with how you word your arguments. I'm starting to see through you. Its getting hella annoying and I'm wondering how you think it leads to the same SUCCESSES the west has embraced over this time.

See through me? :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

I've never been shy about where I stand on these issues.

Unlike your fake ass.

You suggested a $100 minimum wage...as if people who had no skills or education or any sort of marketable value otherwise would make more than others who do.

If there are folks making 100, i'm pulling in AT LEAST 1500 per hour. :heh:

Good for you. I hope you do make $1500 an hour. I'll make $3000 since our capitalist overlords have decided my contributions and skills outweigh yours as we already have proven.

i'm not a libertarian because of how hard-lined it is, but some of this shyt lately just hurts my head.

Dudes are out here pushing for these ridiculous ass MINIMUM wages as if its going to put people on the same playing field.

Is that what people really want?

I support a $10 minimum wage (for now). Anything more than that and you're showing an inability to be taken seriously.

There's nothing ridiculous about raising minimum wage. "As if its going to put people on the same playing field", logical fallacy at work.

Anyways you sound very confident. You must have a lot of certs. What year were you born? 90 something, amirite?

I said I support a wage increase...to $10.

Dudes asking for $15 per hour are just showing how damp their mothers basements are.

This is what I'm talking about with your attitude towards the poor. Why are you maligning labor for working in it's own interests? You certainly seem to be willing to suck the cock of CEOs whenever the question comes up. Yet you choose to malign the little guy. Why?

Everything about you screams... 'silver spoon kid'.

Present false dichotomies brehs.
Apparently the only way to help the poor is to make them rich
I like how that stance passively reinforces what it's arguing against.

IM NOT shytTING ON THE POOR

But holy fukk man.

If you want to help them, why are you talking about minimum wage as if its not THE. fukkING. BOTTOM.

You're really making this shyt more than what it is.

You talking about CEOs is absolute bullshyt and detracts from your argument. CEOS get paid. That has NOTHING to do with Johnny in the mail room. :beli:

Good. I'm glad your mad.

My point stands.

If you're raising a family and relying on MINIMUM wage as a single mother. You're fukking up. Not on some widow shyt either. so miss me with your future anecdotes

Pure. And. Simple.

It doesn't matter WHAT that minimum is, cause not only are 95% of US workers making more than you, but they clearly have skills to make them more employable at higher wages than you.

Ya'll are making minimum wage into something its not...and until you stop equating a minimum wage with a living wage, we'll NEVER agree on a way to address these issues.

YES YOU ARE. What part of mocking people for not having the financial ability to strike out on their own independently is NOT shytting on the poor?

I'm talking about the FUNDAMENTAL way you look at and speak on the wealthy and the poor. Be honest. Have you ever worked a low wage job? Or hell, even done community service in the hood even? Or even interacted with the poor? Because to me it seems like whenever you open your mouth on the subject, you project the CEO as some sort of ubermensch and the guy on the bottom of the chain as some sort of lazy, weak, despicable piece of humanity...

Because you're making the MINIMUM wage something its not.

The government ain't gonna always save you. Some will falter and I support the idea of trying to help where I can, but there must be a limit.

Have you ever worked a low wage job?
Yep. When i was a teen and a little above that in undergrad working on campus.

Or hell, even done community service in the hood even?
once a month I do a weekend project.
Or even interacted with the poor?
all the time. Even contemplated working in a rural community when I finish med school down the road. B

Whats funny is that you take any dissension as a strike to your core.

I already said I supported an increase...but there is a limit to what I support.

The point of a minimum wage is to ensure you've got change in your pocket.

Its the individuals job to do more than that.

Minimum wage exists for a reason, and not for the reasons you all are so hell bent on supporting.

You support an increase to $10, but if it's $15, that's an invalid argument that can't be taken seriously? Where do you draw this arbitrarily line between sound policy and outlandishness? What if I want a minimum wage of $12.50 to split the difference between pragmatism and lunacy, as defined by you? If you're going to just throw out arbitrary numbers based on no real economic data, don't attach such assured assumptions to them.
