Broke Wave
The GOAT
Jobs are being moved overseas where labor is cheap, and the response here at home is make labor here more expensive.
I couldn't make this up if i tried.
You also couldn't oversimplify it more if you tried

I told you, that's all y'all always haveMINIMUM WAGE, UNSKILLED LABOR...
but no...you'd push for fukking $20 if you could.
GET OUT OF HERE.
I do not think LOW LEVEL WORK should be rewarded with HIGH WAGES.
Why can't we address this?
ha ha vintage page 6 material, remember those days guys? we were so young and optimistic then
but here is a new thought
do y'all realize that these talking points amount to the following:
simply put the labor force does not do enough to give themselves a quality lifestyle, their labor is just barely enough to give upper management a lavish lifestyle, our companies billions in offshore savings and of course billions in subsidy money. yup this is all your labor can accomplish, and no more than that. It is just enough for us to live well but just not enough for you to have a comfortable life. Yay USA, we're # 1!
actually it's not:youthink:this is where your argument loses all weight.
I told you, that's all y'all always have
seems large numbers bother you so here is what I propose, you can make minimum wage $2 for all I care, just bring the cost of living down to where the buying power is equivalent to a living wage:yasure:
why can't we address what you think? :youthink: too easy, breh, you must be a masochist:zfg:
True, but its still accurate. Labor cost in America will increase, while labor overseas will remain cheap...You also couldn't oversimplify it more if you tried
First of all overseas can mean Japan so I disagree.True, but its still accurate. Labor cost in America will increase, while labor overseas will remain cheap...
what exactly do you disagree with?
bwah ha ha ha say what? just because huh?I already told you I support SOME wage increase, but $15 is simply TOO MUCH.
Not true, we could implement a safety net that catches people below the poverty line, and abolish the min wage.First of all overseas can mean Japan so I disagree.
Two that's not some kind of a rule
Three so what? It's impossible to compete wage for wage with China no matter what the right wing thinks.
and there is nothing we can do about that, history has proven this already, I mean we currently have no policies against influx of cheap foreign goods/competition, we are completely defenseless against thisTrue, but its still accurate. Labor cost in America will increase, while labor overseas will remain cheap...
what exactly do you disagree with?
We can compete.and there is nothing we can do about that
Not true, we could implement a safety net that catches people below the poverty line, and abolish the min wage.
that's the only thing we can do, maybe we can also compete for living standards, like a race to the bottom, thanks brehWe can compete.
Min wage isn't the only way to help "poor" people, and several nations are proving that today.
Ahhh...ALTERNATIVES!I'd be for abolishing the minimum wage if the government protected peoples rights to unionize and didn't interfere with collective bargaining. Also if the government did not give any tax cuts to corporations at all then I'd be with it as well.
Can't even focus on the US, huh?that's the only thing we can do, maybe we can also compete for living standards, like a race to the bottom, thanks breh
150? c'mon America we can go over 200, where's that can do spirit?
