MINIMUM WAGE, UNSKILLED LABOR...

but no...you'd push for fukking $20 if you could. :pachaha:

GET OUT OF HERE.
I told you, that's all y'all always have
seems large numbers bother you so here is what I propose, you can make minimum wage $2 for all I care, just bring the cost of living down to where the buying power is equivalent to a living wage:yasure:

I do not think LOW LEVEL WORK should be rewarded with HIGH WAGES.

Why can't we address this?

why can't we address what you think? :youthink: too easy, breh, you must be a masochist:zfg:

ha ha vintage page 6 material, remember those days guys? we were so young and optimistic then

but here is a new thought
do y'all realize that these talking points amount to the following:
simply put the labor force does not do enough to give themselves a quality lifestyle, their labor is just barely enough to give upper management a lavish lifestyle, our companies billions in offshore savings and of course billions in subsidy money. yup this is all your labor can accomplish, and no more than that. It is just enough for us to live well but just not enough for you to have a comfortable life. Yay USA, we're # 1!

this is where your argument loses all weight.

1. A LOT of the LOW LEVEL LABOR does not do work that qualifies them to earn a much higher wage. Period. Get mad if you want

2. What do you mean by upper management? Cause you act like ONLY giant menacing corporations are being discussed here. Theres a lot more forms of work than that.

3. oh yes, the general "offshore banking" bullshyt that applies to yes large...but a relatively smaller number of companies. We can all name the Fortune 500 ones...anything else? Theres a LOT more out there at stake. You can't help but go after the low-hanging fruit can you? Now what does this have to do with MINIMUM WAGE?

4. And no, if you're working for minimum wage you need to find a way to figure out why you're not living a comfortable life. Its not made for you to be able to do so.

You're good at trivializing complex arguments into short talking points while ignoring the forces at play here.

This is more than "upper management" (which amounts to a few number of people anyways)...this is ENTRY LEVEL fukkING WORK...

I already told you I support SOME wage increase, but $15 is simply TOO MUCH.

:yeshrug: True, but its still accurate. Labor cost in America will increase, while labor overseas will remain cheap...

what exactly do you disagree with?
First of all overseas can mean Japan so I disagree.

Two that's not some kind of a rule

Three so what? It's impossible to compete wage for wage with China no matter what the right wing thinks.

Not true, we could implement a safety net that catches people below the poverty line, and abolish the min wage.

and there is nothing we can do about that, history has proven this already, I mean we currently have no policies against influx of cheap foreign goods/competition, we are completely defenseless against this:troll:

oh also, we are not complicit in any of this either:troll:

I'd be for abolishing the minimum wage if the government protected peoples rights to unionize and didn't interfere with collective bargaining. Also if the government did not give any tax cuts to corporations at all then I'd be with it as well.

We can compete. :comeon:
Min wage isn't the only way to help "poor" people, and several nations are proving that today.
that's the only thing we can do, maybe we can also compete for living standards, like a race to the bottom, thanks breh:troll:
