Seattle agrees to raise minimum wage to $15

Problem is a majority of stable job growth that's being created are minimum wage jobs. Why is that? Look at the thread about April's job market. 280000 jobs got added, only 82,000 were high paying. What about the other 198000??
If wages have never been lower for middle& poor, why won't prices go down, seem as though they have less purchasing power & make up the majority of people?

Or perhaps you want it to be labeled differently, 15 should be a living wage and 7.25 should be the mininum??

This is the biggest myth in Capitalism. If everyone was the model citizen, educated, ambitious and valuable employee the lower tier for work would just be readjusted. Everyone could have PhDs and you'd have Doctors flipping burgers for minimum wage.

It's why there is a fight for Capitalists to keep wages down when compared to inflation and rising living costs. it's why Capitalists have been pushing for more and more unpaid internships. It's why Capitalists are investing for more and more automated labor. They want free slave labor. It's their goal and always has been. If they can replace humans with robots they will. It's purely a form of greed to transfer power, resources and wealth from the many to the few.

1. Sure. But the minimum wage should not COVER that.

-Makes ###x what their employee makes and
-has employees who are suffering in debt just to make basic ends meets
-uses the employees tax dollars for "free"
-hides billions in assets and taxes overseas (many will argue that the ceo giving up their salary will not help, how about they give up their company's tax haven billions?)

but here is a new thought
do y'all realize that these talking points amount to the following:
simply put the labor force does not do enough to give themselves a quality lifestyle, their labor is just barely enough to give upper management a lavish lifestyle, our companies billions in offshore savings and of course billions in subsidy money. yup this is all your labor can accomplish, and no more than that. It is just enough for us to live well but just not enough for you to have a comfortable life. Yay USA, we're # 1!

Jobs are being moved overseas where labor is cheap, and the response here at home is make labor here more expensive.
