What's special about the ssds outside of being able to store more games?
it's just more storageI don't know anything about tech mane. I'm a construction nikka
So what's so specialized about them outside of storage? Is this shyt gone make the games look better? Sony should've came out with more powerful hardware, but if this means a more power PS5 then I'm in
it's just more storage
the PS5 uses a very fast SSD, and some games require that speed to function correctly. so any additional storage must also be very fast for games to work with it
Remember when Sony stans said these would be cheap cuz they weren’t proprietary??
No because Sony knows Sony stans are some of the dumbest consumers in all of tech. Y'all willingly pay $600 for a PS3, defended $70 Ghost of Tsushima, so you'll justify paying 2 to 300eventually they will be since they are open to competitive 3rd parties
That's still true. You're being sold a 1TB 2500 MB/s card for $220 and it can only be used on the Xbox. That's a ripoff. You can get a SN850/w heat sink for $30 more, and not only is it faster (7300 MB/s), the price to performance ratio is better. And it's only going to get cheaper as more options are added to the market - that is the benefit of supporting an open standard. You can also repurpose it for other devices.Remember when Sony stans said these would be cheap cuz they weren’t proprietary??
