alright let me look on the official PS site then. cause I don't see any differing prices than what I originally saw in flyers when it first came out.

edit: best buy is saying 629 for standard version. and 499 for digital. not in stock atm.
Those are reseller prices as well. Walmart and Best Buy allows resellers to sell thru their sites just like Amazon does now

Xbox is $219 for 1tb…

The xbox expansion drive is extremely slow compared to this - 2400 MB/s vs 7300 MB/s. It's non-proprietary and can be used in anything too.


Anyway, this is just seagates drive that meets spec. Any gen4 m.2 drive that meets specification (5500 MB/s) would work. There are already a few drives that would work and are cheaper. Prices are going to continue to fall too given that it's generic support over proprietary.
