Naw it was to keep cost down. A 2tb gen 3 SSD in 2020 was way more expensive than it is now, and it would mean they take even more of a hit per unit sold or they make ps5 600 dollars, you can’t have it all for 400/500 dollars.

if they really wanted to rape your pockets they would have put out proprietary memory cards instead of letting you use whatever 3rd party card you can find

These games are outrageous sized. What the hell were they thinking with 600 gigs. Nobody wants to delete and redownload entire games every day. Especially if you have more than one user. You got three gamers in the house and you might get to have one game a piece on that thing
