on track 8 or so right now. Kinda all blending together...nothing really standing out. Too many beat switches. Too much def poetry jam type flows. Maybe it'll pickup as it goes on.

edit:Album finishes strong. I like the last 5 joints alot.

Yea Album has some nice cuts but overall it's pretty mid. The production is all over the place and too many weird beat switches. And most importantly Q's rapping and flow is worse than it's ever been. Sounds like he's trying his hardest to replicate his old flow but he can't quite get there anymore. He's lacking the energy. And his lyricism is average at best.

There's maybe 4 tracks I have the desire to listen to again. Blue slides, Cooties, Lost Times, and Pig Feet. Everything else is pretty forgettable. Crash talk had higher highs if I'm keeping it real. Gang Gang, Tales, Black Folk, Crash, Drunk>>>

This is what happens when a rapper takes 4-5 years off from putting out music. It messes up their mic presence and their flow

My goodness it’s tough as hell getting through this album. So many unnecessary beat switches to the point where I have to check my phone to see if it went to a different track or not. There’s so much going on with this album. It’s better than Crash Talk, but that’s not saying much. I will listen to this album more over time, which is something I didn’t say about Crash Talk.

Production is cool. Seems like Q lost a step vocally. Not wack but his delivery is different from his early records. He used to be my favorite of TDE. The beat switches don't bother me, but it just means the songs don't really fit on a trap playlist or an underground Alchemist type playlist. And its not really arty enough to play from start to finish like a Kendrick album just to hear his perspective. So hes just limiting his audience for this.

Theres some highlights on here though, its def worth checking out to find them.

I... don't... like this.

I was really excited for this album, but i just can't get into it. The production is either not good or, even worse, doesn't really fit Q. Devin Malik is trash. There's no cohesion and not much stands out. It's just a big mess, and Q definitely lost something in the time he took off. Really disappointing.

With that said, Blueslides and Lost Times are the obvious stand outs and I can see myself playing them for a while. Yeern, THank God 4 me... maybe a couple other joints are alright. There's just not a lot here that's actually great, even if nothing is really bad.
