I recommend playing it exactly the way it's sequenced in the Trailer (in the OP) at least once, I'm 90% sure it was intended that way initially, I fukk with it either way though.

01. Funny Guy

02. Pop (Feat. Rico Nasty)

03. THank God 4 Me

04. Time Killers

05. Yeern 101

06. Cooties

07. Movie (Feat. Az Chike)

08. oHio

09. Nunu

10. Blue slides

11. Love Birds

12. Lost Times

13. First

14. Germany 86′

15. Foux

16. Pig Feet

17. Smile

@Hood Critic

Noticeable differences to me:

  • Less of a frantic feel
  • The Watts Prophets transition from Germany 86 to Foux was obviously intentional
  • Time Killers is dope but also feels likes it's building towards something and makes perfect sense going in to yeern101
  • Blue Slides is arguably too mellow to be so early in the album, Fits in nice this way imo.
+ Back n Love might've been added because it got a good reception, Doesn't feel like it's missing from the LP.

If anyone tries it this way I'd like to hear their feedback
I like this sequencing actually. I just close the album with Back n Love since I don't know where else to put it

After finally listening to the whole thing, 4 of the last 5 songs saves this album from being VERY bad. I just don’t know what he was going for on here. This is like a 6/10 album. Crash Talk was probably 2/10 by comparison. It’s like when Eminem followed up Revival with Kamikaze. An improvement, but forgettable.

Finally gave it a listen and i like it. A few joints on there that i really fukk with.

AZ Chike and Gibbs got the coldest features even tho im a sucker for Rico Nasty.

Truthfully It aint nowhere close to blank face. I gotta give it a little more time but i feel like the songs end mad abruptly and there's too many switch ups on the beats. Overall its a good sound and i do like the project as a whole. Def the type of album you have to listen to front to back in order to appreciate. TDE always puts out conceptual albums tho so it is to be expected.

Too many unnecessary beat switches. Ohio and Love Birds run through 3 beats for no damn reason when the first and last ones were smooth.

I like that the album is different though. Last few songs on the album are vintage Q

Blue Slides
Pop
Thank God For Me
Ohio
Cooties

Add those to the last 4/5 and you can easily make 10 solid songs from the album imo. Just take out the weird experimental tracks

If I'm chopping down tracks no way I'm leaving out Movie & First. Pop and half of OHio would be left off quicker

Fav/most repeated tracks as of today:

Smile - First 20 seconds >>>>>>> Benny the Bulldagger's whole album

Movie

First

Blue Slides

Cooties

Benny’s album is way better than this, even his lesser ones.

Def would add Cooties and Ohio for a more than solid 10 track album.

Like what is this man :mjlol: what is he even talking about? (And I get the "piggy or hog /hoover reference") This is some mushmouth Ski Mask The Slum Lord sounding shyt... So much mid lyricism on this album

This is definitely my favorite Schoolboy Q album to date. This is the first album i’ve ever been able to connect with him as an artist over the course of an entire project. This is also the first since Oxymoron that I actually WANT to listen to and digest more than once or twice. This is going in my heavy rotation

I liked it. But it didn’t “grab me” so to speak. Objectively its a great album but from a lyrical/thematic perspective it was a twice listen and move on type of project.

I’m still listening to Blue Lips. Its in my rotation alongside Skyzoo’s Mind Of A Saint deluxe. These are the two best albums of the year so far
