Interesting how different this album feels from recent TDE albums from artists who went through shyt (Zay, Soulo, Kendrick). This album isn't some analysis of traumas or look at "what happened." This album is less personal than those and approaches it moreso from the perspective of "I went through some shyt, got through, now I'm good." There's clarity here, self affirmation, celebration, cockiness, fun. I fukk with it a lot.

Comparisons are natural but at the same time I don't expect to get the same shyt from 2 diff LPs with different approaches.

But if we must, Right now there are at least 2 things I prefer about this LP over Blank Face .

1)Pacing - BFLP starts off really slow with TorcH, then you have swizzle doing his thing and Kanye going full retard. BLips pulls you in quicker.

2)I prefer sharp turns and change-ups vs. "Overtime" sandwiched between "Blank Face" and "Tookie Knows", Same goes for the "WHateva U Want" placement.


Currently there's not even one stinker on here to me, At most features that I don't like that much. Love Birds has both one of my favorite parts on the LP and
maybe my least favorite.

This is definitely my favorite Schoolboy Q album to date. This is the first album i’ve ever been able to connect with him as an artist over the course of an entire project. This is also the first since Oxymoron that I actually WANT to listen to and digest more than once or twice. This is going in my heavy rotation

Q sounded so much like Stove God on the Lost Times Intro I got excited thinking it was supposed to lead into a verse from him

Seems like a TDE affiliate. He did like five beats on the last Isaiah Rashad album.
