I don't see how anyone could really complaing about the casting, either you make a lower budget movie wit no names, or you get scarjo and put the type of $$ behind it it deserves. I have faith.

Doing the laughing man storyline has the potential to be corny if handled wrong tho, I won't lie.

Not only is the main character Asian, but universal themes aside, the story is Japanese as hell.

ScarJo really wants to be at the helm of this abomination. Manga/Anime just don't translate well into American movies. This may only work in part because GINTH was influenced by Blade Runner.

Low key, Akira wasn't meant to be scary and all that...but to this day, it still creeps me out. The whole vibe of the story....weird.
