Shohei Ohtani had one of the best weeks in baseball history and First Take ain’t even discuss it :mjlol:
Baseball doesn't move the needle like it used to back in the day. Also, I don't think most Americans want to claim a foreign born player as one of the best players in the game even through he has shown that he is :yeshrug:.

They typically only cover baseball when Mad Dog is in the studio on Wednesday. Even then, they don’t even bother to bring in Onley other baseball talent.

Honestly, I think SAS got too spooked with what happened last time, so they keep the topics to a minimum.

Even when they try to talk about him on the morning shows they just do it w/ their football analysts and made it a "who's the best show in sports" topic so they can bring the NFL in the conversation.

I thought these hot take shows were pretty much just Basketball and Football.
They do no hockey whatsoever, which is hilarious considering that now has an investment in hockey. Baseball topics are typically on Wednesdays with Mad Dog and it’s just about Ohtani or the Yankees. Enough not to get exposed for their lack of expertise. Other sports they don’t even bother with.
