Freddie Coleman gonna be on ESPN for life, dude done survived multiple rounds of layoffs and a regime change with that radio gig intactFreddie Coleman and some white chick.
what rumors
Forreal. The ultimate substitute teacher type utility guy.Freddie Coleman gonna be on ESPN for life, dude done survived multiple rounds of layoffs and a regime change with that radio gig intact
I thought these hot take shows were pretty much just Basketball and Football.
Baseball has lower ratings than basketballThey are and the reason why they discuss more basketball is because the top players like LeBron are more popular and they are more social media driven but basketball on the whole doesn't really have higher ratings than baseball. They are pretty much even.
ESPN also shells out a lot of money for the NBA so they need to continue to push whatever "spicy" narrative of the day they can. Baseball teams typically have local TV market contracts, some have their own channels like the Red Sox with NESN or the Yankees with YES.

You could argue that it is considering that they have a financial investment in its outcome and have every reason to want to help grow the sport just as much as MLB does.Baseball has lower ratings than basketball
Like I said, it’s not up to ESPN to grow the league. MLB needs to do a better job attracting casual fans.
The league(MLB) needs to be the catalystYou could argue that it is considering that they have a financial investment in its outcome and have every reason to want to help grow the sport just as much as MLB does.
MLB needs to be the catalyst but it means nothing in the grand scheme of things if the media outlets don't play along. If you don't believe that, then look at the WNBA who has been trying their hardest for years yet barely gets an coverage on ESPN.The league(MLB) needs to be the catalyst
MLB Network doesn’t have any interesting shows
MLB doesn’t know how to promote their players
Cam’ron is doing a better job than marketing operations of the MLB
We know they work hand, and hand. Unlike the WNBA, the MLB doesn’t even try.MLB needs to be the catalyst but it means nothing in the grand scheme of things if the media outlets don't play along. The sports league and the media outlets work hand and hand together.
Who says they don't? Just because you don't hear about it or see doesn't mean that they aren't trying. We know they work hand, and hand. Unlike the WNBA, the MLB doesn’t even try.
I been seeing more WNBA games on ABC, along with more commercials attracting casual fans.
I’ll ask again, can you post Youtube links of any interesting MLB show or player-led podcast?Who says they don't? Just because you don't hear about it or see doesn't mean that they aren't trying.
The only reason you know that Cam does it because you're checking for his content. Even then, I guarantee you that he wouldn't be covering it like that if he was on an actual network because sports outside of the NBA and NFL don't drive content like that.
The truth of the matter is that those sports like the WNBA and MLB aren't tailored for debate shows compared to the NBA and NFL who also have the benefit of the off the court product being more entertaining than what goes on the field most of the time.
The Bigs with Xavier Scruggs is dope. R2C2 with CC Sabathia and Ryan Ruocco as well. You wouldn't know those podcast exist though because the sports media doesn't cover baseball like that, which is why it's disingenuous to place blame on MLB like the sports networks aren't part of the problem as well.I’ll ask again, can you post Youtube links of any interesting MLB show or player-led podcast?

It's other dope baseball podcasts out there if you're actually willing to look around for them instead of the media telling you what to listen to.
