Hit CAB yesterday. Heavy bench is looking shaky but arm work is actually on the come up. Added weight to everything yesterday and got through it all. Also switched to lat pulldowns instead of weighted chins on a whim.... my shyt went way down :dahell: I was struggling with 190, during my last cut I was pulling down 220x10 no problem. I have a pull down rack at home so I might switch to this completely. Gotta put those metal pulleys in though.

Legs and shoulders went great... felt a little hungry but once I got the ball rolling I was good. It's weird.... I'm definitely feeling the hunger more, but I'm also performing better in the gym. Like with front squats I cleared 3x8x205 no problem and am thinking about jumping to 210 next time. Up on lateral raises too. Def gonna try and cash in on strength gains in a deficit as long as I can so I can come out of the other side well off.

Rode a pretty rough 14 miles outside today. Strangely enough I don't feel too bad. I feel better now than I did this morning. We will see what the scale says tomorrow. I wore gloves and I think that helped a lot. Forearms don't feel like mincemeat. Feeling a little faster on the hills but I'm still not quite 100%.

Hit chest back and arms today. I tried something a little different.... did 5 sets of bench and lat pulldowns supersetted instead of 3 sets of bench and chins separate. Kind of rough but I mostly got through it. Extra volume should hopefully help and if I can get used to it in a deficit shyt will skyrocket during my bulk. The pump was crazy :whoo:

Weighed in at 195.4/194.2 empty. I will leave it to you to figure out what empty means.

Bought some chicken breasts for my weekly meat as I assumed it was a lot lower calorie than chicken thighs. WRONG. Got home and checked it.... a whopping 15 calories per 4 oz less. Basically like 2g of fat less for way less flavor. Gonna pass that shyt off to wifey and stick with the thighs.

I was thinking back to my last cut and something ain't adding up :patrice:

I had something like the same amount of calories (though I did start dialing it back at the end) and weight loss was a lot faster. One big difference which I'm dreading making the adjustment for is I was doing a LOT more protein. Now a good day is ~230g.... last cut I was between 250-300g/day consistently. I have some tricks to get it done :wink: but I didn't want to go back to that life :sadcam: I thought I could have my cake and eat it too a little bit.

I see what the big change is.... I started my cut last February but I got my Blendtec in August. Matter fact, it was in August when my cut started to slow way down. I gotta reconfigure the smoothie situation... see if I can find some artificial sweetener with citric acid to balance against the bitterness of the kale. Also gotta up my vitamin game, really been slacking too long.

Man IDK what the fukk is going on. Weight is UP after a ~12 mile bike ride and lowish calories last night (2100 intake)

Going back to my old formula with the mega high protein and I'm gonna keep calories TITE. This shyt got a nikka skressin cuh. I mean I guess I have lost like 3lb over the last 3 weeks :lupe: but thats looking at my heaviest weight vs my lightest weight. On average it's been more like 1-2lbs. I will tighten my shyt up and see what happens

Also gonna dial back volume a little bit and try and switch mentally to muscle maintenance mode. I'm trying to get this shyt popping, I wanna be down in the 180s by June :demonic:

I don't know what the fukk is going on. Compounds are down but it seems like my arms are getting stronger and stronger :why: I tried that 5 set shyt with heavy bench/weighted chins... too greedy. Switching back to the old flow though once the cut is up I'm definitely going up on volume and bringing the bench supersets back. I'm seeing a little more vascularity but shyt's just not moving like I thought it would

Dialing up the protein + fat helped. Hit 250g protein and like 40g of fat.... I feel full. Switched up the formula on the shakes... no more OJ, moved to Crystal Light. Not as good but it gets the job done. Only 140g of carbs. I can manage this. Also not gonna drink outside my feeding window. I think that is throwing my weight up a little bit. See what happens tomorrow.

Debating whether to hit legs or bike tomorrow and start with the legs 1x/week shyt and cardio 2x/week shyt. Hard to switch to the maintenance mentality, I feel good enough to where I'm in a gains making mode. I need to channel that energy into cutting.

Yep strategy worked. 195.6. Will help keep weigh ins more consistent.

Hit legs. Flowed from the survival scrolls and just went off my natural rhythms. Threw some upright rows in too, still pushing 125x10 no problem. Got a quick shoulders/arms session tomorrow and then a ride after dinner. Should be fun.

fukked around today. Just did shoulders, back and some extra arm work. Went OK. Weighed in at 196 flat this morning but I broke protocol last night at a bar with some friends. I am riding tonight and feeling pretty full so I will just button up the calories tonight.

Rode on the trainer last night. I think I'm gonna buy a new one. This fluid one is just too fcking inconsistent. When it gets hot the resistance skyrockets. Ordered a magnetic one. It's louder but way more consistent. I have noise cancelling headphones and ride in the garage so that's a non issue. I was able to go faster but then I'd hit a speed and the shyt would overheat. It's getting :camby:'d

I think I have the protocol dialed in though. A lot of it is just doing what I did on the last cut:

- Close the eating AND drinking window as early as possible. I started this cut drinking diet soda + iced tea and shyt like right before bed. I think that water was masking shyt at the beginning and making my weigh ins inconsistent. Thats pretty much done now.
- Back to the big mamajama whey shakes. I tried to stick to the dainty 100g shakes I was doing in my bulk but fukk that. Back up to the 130g I did on the last cut. Makes a HUGE difference. Keeps me full as hell during the afternoon. Crazy what a difference 30g makes.
- Let go of the carb dream :mjcry: It's pretty much a given now that at least 1 of my 2 meals is gonna be a plate of seasoned lean meat. It is what it is. I can still live a little bit... I'm pretty sure I'm gonna grab a double cheeseburger from Wendys for lunch today. Or maybe some chicken fingers from Popeyes. But for the most part... :yeshrug:

I'm thinking coming in strong with the cardio is making a difference too. I feel good on the bike. 1 hour of riding at ~150-160BPM is no problem. With the weather getting good I'm gonna go beast mode :banderas: Feeling good in the gym as well. Bench is off but what's new? We gon make it :scumbag:
