The Fukin Prophecy
RIP Champ
Yes but it hasn't aged well even with mods...Is the PC port of Saints Row 2 good? Steam has it for $10.
They were giving it away for free a few months ago...

3 was good tho....Yall wasn't feeling the Burt Reynolds swerve...
Nah, it's honestly terrible. It crashes waaaaaay to much and the cutscenes are out of sync if you play anything above 30fps. I bought it last year, and honestly it's just better to play it on the xbox.
I figured the port was bad. I saw some of the steam reviews complain about the crashes.
I hope Saints Row 5 is a reboot and takes place after 2. They need to forget 3 and 4 and expansions for those games ever existed.
Same man. I bought SR3 and I was extremely disappointed. The only reason I even played the 4th game was because it was free.
Like you said, they need to go back to the games roots. Maybe even some type of internal conflict within the gang since you pretty much own Stilwater at the end of the second game.
I had worlds more fun with this than I did GTA 4. SR2 was the spiritual successor of San Andreas. I played through it at least three or four times and its actually surprising at how much content they hid within the game. Finding the secret ending with Julius(?) was
I loved SR2, which is why SR3 was such a monumental disappointment. They completely jumped the shark with SR4 in their effort to distance themselves further from the tag of a "GTA Clone" and the series suffered from it. SR2 found a great balance between serious and absurd. It had a distinct charm (Stilwater had charm, the protagonist would sing his/her favorite songs, the supporting cast was strong & charismatic,) and it sort of inexplicably flushed it all away with the third entry when they tried to fix what wasn't broken. Love this game and its easily in my top 5 from the Xbox 360 era.

If this new one is a complete reboot from the ground up then fair enough I’m with it
But if they plan on this being a direct sequel With the same characters & previous story the best thing they can do imo is pretend that everything after The Saints claimed Stillwater at the end of SR2 never happened, and call it Saints Row 3, I think they could easily get away with this since literally everything after is universally seen as awful by fans and when people stopped taking it seriously, along with the 3rd one not even officially being called Saints Row 3 (Saints the 3rd)
They could still build an entire new city and have the plot be you and Gat leaving the lieutenants to run the Saints in Stillwater while you and Gat try to expand the Saints and build business in this new map with a plan to Make the Saints country wide, still nowhere near as far fetched as your character becoming president and going to war with aliens
