"The Chief" comes across like a, surly, anti-social a$$hole. Who would want someone in their organization whose like that, especially given the fact that hes proved nada as an executive or corporate representative. He fcked up not taking that 80 thou gig, and his reasoning for doing so is a complete slap in the face to the working populous of America.

I hate to get on a brotha like this, but the only thing "sad" about this story is Parrish himself. He needs to get over himself.

Brolic... Alcoholics
Because he was one of the first 'good guys' to ever get busted for drugs. This wasn't like Micheal Ray Richardson or Len Bias who later we the public learned were on drugs (hard drugs at that) but they were unknowns and certainly not Celtic greats. Yeah, looking at the story from today's perspective it makes absolutely no sense to mention it as weed charges are like tattoos now but during the 90's it was something for a well known and liked athlete to get busted even if it was something harmless as weed, it's just the stigma associated with drugs. Remember the late 80's and the entirety of the 90's rallied hard on JUST SAY NO.

That's not why he can't get a job tho. He can't get a gig becuz he's a turd. And it kinda bothers me saying that becuz I'm all about supporting my people but this nikka burning bridges and then wanna try and ask for a handout. That's stupid. In what world does that make sense?

Negativity (Kayfabe)
Sounds like the way of an introvert. He should have been networking.

And this " I don't need help, but, I need help" reeks of pride.

Classic case of "hustling backwards". Most of the cats who have those coaching/GM jobs he wants have them cause they established connections with people during their years. Carlisle was Bird's homeboy, so he put him on. At the very least, a nikka knows you and can refer you to his man on some "look out for my nikka" :myman: You can't be distant and treat people funny style for years and then be like :why: on the back end when you can't :eat: like everybody else.

the main reason people stay unemployed is because they don't wanna settle for anything less than their "dream" job. I'm not trying to degrade out of work ceo's by making them work at a gas station or something. but sometimes people refuse offers that are reasonable.
If you are a teacher and there is no work close to home then you should move. i'm not gonna feel sorry for an out of work teacher who lives in malibu because they refuse to move to ohio or alaska where there might be a shortage of teachers.
