Look at the Evergrande shyt with China... they aren't bulletproof from crashing their economy... they still haven't cleared up all that shyt yet

Yeah, shyt is total failure. The only thing China Communist party has so far as an advantage is that culturally a lot of Chinese people are Docile to leadership. The problem is that how long will that last as the world become globalize. They see the freedom that Koreans/Japanese etc.. have and they will want the same thing. This may explain why China is locking down the country at a considerable rate. The next ten years is important to China.

This is why I say Putin just put the nail in his coffin, it will be a coup in Russia within the next couple of years, the younger generation is the ones who will suffer under these sanctions

Also, unless Earth is wiped out totally, War doesn't benefit China. Their MO is financial hegemony. Which needs peace times to work at its maximum efficiency especially in Africa and developing nations.

People forget how quickly the US pivoted their ENTIRE medical research apparatus in 2020 during COVID. By the end of the year, the US had not one, not two but THREE vaccines.

Imagine if that all of a sudden went to military spending/research/logistics. Which it would in conflict with China or Russia. That's smoke that don't NOBODY want for at least a couple of generations.

China is just as delusional. The U.S. actually has support in the West. They accept us as top dog, look to us for guidance and depend on us to be their military. And by “they” I mean the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Canada, Australia, etc. Who in Asia looks to China for that? Taiwan, Tibet, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and South Korea can’t stand them. Their only devoted party in that neck of the woods is North Korea and that speaks for itself.

:hhh:American perspectives on global power - whoever has more guns right?

And for each of those lil countries you listed who "can't stand them", you should look up who their number 1 import/export partner is (hint: it's China).

China is absymal at generating soft power outside of economics and American isn't, so no, it isn't just about guns.

I agree, especially when entrenched forces in the west are able to dismiss efforts of soft power as propaganda, debt traps, etc. That's a tough nut to crack - winning the information war. But that's why things like the BRI are finding traction in the global south. Some of those nations are finding their terms preferable to World Bank/IMF-style austerity.

Assuming this is true, I shudder to think what those Azov cats will do to them.

Chinese are "docile" to leadership because Confucianism is still big. As technology improves, especially AI and IoT, China's autocracy will become more efficient. That's scary.

You are acting like they are against America being there. You tell me who you rather have as an ally? China or America? America is letting Japan build their military up due to China aggression and Korea need our help with North.

I think countries, particularly in Africa, are getting wise to Belt-and-Road, tbh. I also expect the West to adjust to this with better terms for loans.

What China really needs to do in order to make friends is open up the country, but they can't do that when the party censors arts and entertainment and very openly abuses immigrants, particularly African immigrants. Don't get me wrong, the West has numerous problems with this as well - see Sweden herding Muslims into ghettoes - but the West also has built up enough credit via entertainment, sports, etc., to indicate that moving there can allow you to make it, to be a star, to be at least somewhat accepted and build a new life. China is doing the opposite of that.

You just said it, america is letting japan build their military. They need permission, how can they be free to make their own decisions as a country? Why not ally with both? China isn't interested bombing other countries, they're interested in trade. America can play the global military.

You don't even know history but spitting your American hating garbage. The deal after WW2 was that Japan couldn't have an army. Have you read or even understand what Japan did to China in the past? Enough bro get out of here :camby:

Man, if Japan didn't have the US as their ally with the specific detail that are in play now, China may have smacked them up a decade or two ago.
