I find it amusing that Republicans get their parties in a bunch about increased gas costs but then praise the “Greatest Generation” and the sacrifices that were made in the US to support the war. Can’t have your cake in a globalized economy.

:wow: Only now they have to sacrifice Russian Money to complain this Midterms because of sanctions. They actually need to talk their constituents... the SALT of the Earth.

Definitely a different Putin. I am sure, even with his power, he would say something like, "Stay out of our Affairs; this is between Russia and Ukraine.", instead he just resorts to outright lying; not projecting strength.

Lavrov tried to say Ukraine murdered 40k civilians in Donbas. Putin could've at least hit him with an are you still hanging Africans....

:manny:

They've lost control of the narrative and aren't even bothering

If Russia continues to bomb cities and Russia clearly go bankrupt. I see a possible disaster happening in Russia to the point he murdering his own citizens once they riot

I've heard there is historical precedent but maybe someone more read in could chime in @FAH1223 @mastermind other fellow travelers care to chime in?

Would Russia really murder their own citizens?

“The only way to stop Putin is to ban oil and gas exports,” Sheffield told the Financial Times in an interview on Friday. "[But] if the western world announced that we’re going to ban Russian oil and gas, oil is going to go to $200 a barrel, probably — $150 to $200 easy.”

:picard: $200 oil
And they're having trouble finding buyers for $25.
