Interesting, I've never heard any diet with oatmeal, rice and potatoes equated with keto :manny:

In a 4800 calorie diet where he has 9 meals in a day, he only gets carbs from a cup of rice, a potato or a yam (twice) in addition to the oatmeal for breakfast. I'd say that's not a lot of carbs. And it's simple clean carbohydrates that's easy to digest and process

Obviously you have to account for your fukkin micronutrients for full functionality but after that it doesn't matter what you fill the rest of your macros with as long as you're hitting whatever caloric number you're goal is. Chad Johnson eats McDonald's everyday and is still ripped. Is that ideal? No that was never my point, the comment was to show you can still look ripped on the outside but eat "whatever you want" within reason. If I was an athlete would I use my remaining 500 calories for the day on candy instead of a big bowl of fruit? Naw I wouldn't but that was never my point.

Normal sedentary people can't burn away 4800 calories. Most guys who lift will not lose weight at that level. Only guys who lift everyday or else do high intensity workout can. For everyone else, calories will end up as fat.
Do you think Russel is a sedentary individual?
