speak for yourself. I bought the Resistance trilogy last year n ran through all the campaigns on my ps3. also replayed Sly 1 n 2 from the hd collection on ps3

Spring is the only thing we know for sure (according to bloomberg) but people are talking about it now because sony is pulling PSNow cards and a bunch of other weird things are happening which feels like they’re gearing up to at least talk about it

The head of the gaming division said as much. He questioned in public why anybody would want to play old games. Backwards compatibility has never been a priority until now and I still can't put the previous generation game disc I own into a PS5 and play those games.

Say what you will about Xbox but as a loyal customer for years you can put many of those older games in the disc drive and fire them up on a Series X. Even beyond that you can get performance improvements on them and that doesn't cost you anything extra.

You playing those older games on a PS5 seems to be conditional to you paying Sony more money. We also know some of these older games will have rights issues between many companies and won't be made available again.

Sony fanboys did not call out the lack of bc as unacceptable. It's part of the reason Sony has stopped focusing on it. Now it's not just you're a loyal customer here's a reward for that loyalty it's fukk you pay me. How very Nintendo of them.
