Educated black men usually vote, non-educated and lower income usually don't hence the stripper ad trying to get black males to vote which is stupid.

Trumps opportunity zones is something the dems should have been doing, I understand targeting the educated kids going off to HBCUs but they should try to address the ghettos a bit more. Trump actually wasn't that bad with that idea he's just Trump so Trumps gonna Trump and people know he full of it.

Dems should have locked this up since Nov 19.
Precisely.

People talking about HBCU visits are missing the point. College educated black people vote.

Republicans only talk to black males to shave off Democrat vote totals and don't even have to pretend to be serious about talking to us.

Democrats are terrified of speaking candidly to black male voters because of what they might hear or be recorded having to address.

I don't fuk with roland and he blocked me on twitter

But he is right on this one, but going this hard might be too late

Minds are made up and when the exit polls come out they will see how the black male vote changed a lot this election

Democrats are in big trouble for this election and other local elections

:manny: I’m sorry but Democrats are doing this to themselves. Black men have strong views towards mass incarceration, Entrepreneurship and wealth building and many black men feel that their views are not being listened to.

Mitt Romney years ago during his campaign used the phrase “The dignity of work” and the premise of that phrase was that men (even though this primarily aimed at white working men) work to provide and in itself their dignity was restored (simple concept) but that clearly had appeal with some black men as he did better than John McCain. This economy has absolutely destroyed black men without college degrees and it doesn’t really help black men with them (In cities, the escalator of opportunity has stalled | MIT Sloan

So you can see where black men apathy is starting to boil over. You take away a man job and ability to provide what do you have left? And every time black men bring up their apathy or their emasculation in their ability to provide they get gaslighted as misogynist, weak links, or actually attacked for not providing.

Democrats are really dropping the ball here. It won’t be enough to hurt Biden in this election but 2024 things will be really interesting.

Dems really need to figure out if they are willing to let black people lead the party.

Thats what it seems like to me.

They aren't even investing in black electoral races like that.

Gillum and Abrams could've been won way earlier too.

Even Jaime Harrison got late support from the DNC and Warnock could've been a stronger contender in GA.

Dems seem like they want that white working class and keep chasing it but don't want to admit that this party is held up by black people with no where else to go but they don't want to really let us try to run the show over here completely.

And yeah, Republicans can appeal to black men but they're still limited by the fact that mainstream republicans are avowed white supremacists so to any extent theres economic arguments made, there will never be republican institutional support devoted to disenfranchising black voters and removing black political and economic opportunity.

This only happens if republicans stop being racist.

Lowkey this is why black voters are so cautious because they don't want to take losses.

Its also fascinating because black people tried going along with the communists and socialists... but white labor didn't want to find solidarity so black people went towards the economic and capitalism route ... and that isn't working... so now we're kinda just seeing what the best deal is for us :snoop:

They dont, in comparison to others i.e. Black Women, hispanics.

You can get all emotional all you want, the data doesnt lie. that's why Dems dont give a shyt about targeting black men.
The fact that Deray and Billy Porter are unironically held up as significant voices democratic is apart of the credibility gap I'm talking about. They talk about straight black males like they're pre-existing conditions.

Not all of us are criminals. Not all of us are even that religious. Not all of us have records or even bigots.

They just don't know how to talk to us.

I support gay rights personally and morally, but the dems aren't stupid. They know what they're doing when they do this and who they're NOT speaking to when they do this :francis:

and again I'm not even talking about myself here. My personal standard is very low. I know exactly what I'm getting and I see democrats working for black interests all the time, but MANY people do not and are quick to frustration and apathy and its a real and persistent and growing problem that will be exploited by those whose ultimate aim is reducing black political power and participation.

Roland has been talking about this for years.

I remember being shocked when he broke down how there was a "masculinity" aspect of Bush in 2004 winning a larger black vote than any republican had in decades... he said there was a "cool" factor to him and people were drawn to that.

Now, again, Republicans aren't going to get like 60% of the black vote. ...but if they start getting into the 20's% its a wrap and democrats (who I feel are infinitely superior in terms of policy and program) would be absolutely fukked nationally if they drop this bag.

I think locally democrats still have viability with black male voters, especially as local leaders and appointed officials as well as employees.

Why?

Hispanics are NOT a reliable voter base for democrats, even across latino diasporas.

Opinion | ‘Why Aren’t Democrats Winning the Hispanic Vote 80-20 or 90-10?’ (Published 2019)
