Watched the 1992 Dracula and it is pretty brilliant. Oldman should have been scaled way way back as the old count, he looks fukking ridiculous. Very sexual, very violent, it's an impressive movie. Hopkins is hilarious. There's a scene where he casually tells someone

oh we staked her and cut of her head, have some more dinner (with the classic Hopkins delivery)

Hit up this girl who likes horror, but Christmas is busy and I'm traveling Saturday, not sure when I'll see this but really looking forward to it.

The First Omen, Late Night with the Devil, Oddity, The Substance, Exhuma, Smile 2, Alien: Romulus, etc.

It wasn’t all that but it’s a solid year on the horror front.

The director is real artsy. He did the Northman which i just couldn't get into. The Witch too. Just not my cup of tea. I expect this to be more focused on the source material but I will definitely wait until it hits the streams because I've been burned twice by this guy.

I’m not crazy high on horror this year but I can’t deny there is a diverse palette for the genre. Whether they’re to your liking or not is another story.

This is gothic horror, although I heard the film plays things more traditional than ‘The Witch’ or ‘The Lighthouse’. Even with those being my favorite entries from Eggers, I can admit there are plenty artistic choices made that can make them come across as a slog to others.
