I'll probably buy this on PC tonight. It's a shame that a 980 ti can't max this game out at 1080p and maintain a locked 60 FPS.

it's a shame that PC gamers get a bunch of graphics options, but everyone just wants to 'max' it out and complain about performance

The best is PC gamers who complain there aren't any games that are pushing their $500 graphics cards, and then when a beautiful game like this one comes out, they complain it's pushing their graphics card. :wow:

In all fairness those graphic options should be for those who choose to buy lesser cards. I bought the flagship card and I should be able to max the game out at 1080p. I understand not getting max at 1440p or 4K but 1080p and I can't get max settings on my $650 980 ti G1 Gaming?

should the devs not include/hide graphics options that don't allow your $650 gpu to get 60fps at 1080p?

Dude what type of processor memory hard drive storage heat etc... Can be a lot of factors as to why you might not be getting that extra fps

agreed. This isn't Crysis 4. a 980ti should be able to max out an X1 port. Seems like it wasn't optimized well enough

welcome to the world of PC gaming bro. especially since the start of this new gen. Its literally hit or miss. which is retarded since these new consoles use x86 architecture. they should be EASIER to port.

I think its more Nividia vs AMD. AMD has features that Nividia lacks in which may require downloads for new drivers etc... Vice versa. I heard Nividia limited some aspects of the game which is hurting AMD GPUs.

AMD has a lot features for gamers that is absent from Nivida overrated ass company. Free sync and computing shyt which can help the developer.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Graphics & Performance Guide

Those with 4GB GPUs are recommended to use High as VRAM stuttering can be observed on Very High, especially when swapping between gameplay, cutscenes and cinematics, and between gameplay zone transitions.

For a smooth experience with those max-quality, 4K x 4K textures, a 6GB GPU is instead recommended. And to crank things up to 4K (3840x2160), with Very High textures and max settings, we'd recommended GeForce GTX TITAN X GPUs with 12GB of VRAM, as usage can near 10GB over prolonged sessions.

that's gonna lead to a lot of people with 4gb (or less) cards claiming the game isn't well optimized
