Na.... plus other than Willie Mack again and Sami Callihan or EC3, or maybe Chris Bey. There’s just more guys in AEW he can have some dynamic matches with.

Clown Ricochet vs Cage match all you want but based off LU we know that match and feud can deliver.

But do we really care about Ricochet vs Ken Shamrock, Cody Deaner, and Crazy Steve?:russ:

I'm not clowing the match... im clowning the alleged pushes aew gives... Brian Cage is FTW champion... not only is that belt from 1998 but this angle of the taz protégé is rehashed from impact.. brian cage came in and lost to moxley off the bat and is relegated to being an imaginary champion.. imo impact makes guys seem more important.

With a guy like him you have to be smart with the way you book him. WWE just throws guys out there and don't book them strong and they end up looking weak and eventually jobbing before thejr contracts are either but renewed or they leave on their own.

A guy like Ricochet you have to put with a manager or another talent that is good on the mic.

He does all this impressive flippy shyt in the ring but then he starts trying to cut a promo and come off like some generic dweeb.

People shyt on guys like Hogan and others from the golden era with their 5-6 moves but those guys had charisma and knew how to work a crowd even if they were limited in the ring. They made you really get into those running clotheslines, bodyslams, legdrops, and suplexes. Most of these new age guys are just athletics but they don't have charisma or really flesh into the psychology behind their character.

I get “wins and losses matter”:russ:

But I think sometime y’all run harder with that then they do but only to attempt to diminish guys

Cage only have one loss and that doesn’t define him. Librarian and Cutler been getting pushes and neither of them have won a match since AEW began:russ:

Also for what it’s worth, the NWA belt that Aldis has is from 1973.

Truth be told, if WWE would relax on some of their “TOTAL CONTROL” over talent like the forced promo’s, ultimate controlling of movesets/gear and etc. Maybe even allowed guys they either don’t care about or have absolutely NOTHING for in creative to have the opportunity to just branch out for a bit to help “their brand.” It probably would be better to stay there

Like they have Wesley Blake on your roster. He’s not hurt. You clearly not even thinking about doing anything for him. Why not allow him to go to NJPW or that fed in England that ZSJ is the champ of? Same with Mojo, Bo, etc?

So to me when I think “go to AEW” for a talent it’s not really clearly just AEW, cuz those contracts give guys the OPTIONS for like NJPW or etc fed.

I don't understand how none of them can keep quiet and just use the leverage to get a bag, even if they have no intention of leaving. :snoop:

Because he wants validation from Daddy McMahon. If he pledges his loyalty to the company and throws the "dirt sheets" under the bus he thinks maybe just maybe daddy will pay him attention. These mark wrestlers got that abandoned child syndrome.

Meanwhile Vince probably already forgot who he is by now :dead:

Apparently, the only course of action for someone that can get fans liking him in the ring, but struggles on the mic, is to constantly put him on the mic, and then when he struggles, not push him.

I really dont even think he struggles on the mic or is as terrible as some of yall are making him to be.

Everyone in the E aint top tier talkers. There is really like 5 thats good and everyone else are on par with each other.

Like someone brought up Rey earlier, he's not a great promo guy. But taking him out the equation, Richochet is no worse or better than the Shorty Gs, Tuckers, Sheltons, Dana Brooks, Gran Metalik, Titus O'Niel, Shayna Blaser, and etc 90% of the roster.

Hell Seth isnt really that great at it, but they just push him so hard and he's doing his cocky heel thing he just comes off more comfortable, but he's not better than say MVP. Not even close

that is more the lens you were made to watch was not fully shown.
with hogun you were given from rocky iii what to expect.
so all McMahon had to do was out hogun out there in the context that ignited the rocky crowd.
you know with eye of the tiger, mr t and a draw built from an Oscar winning property.
so trying to say this about hogun and such and such.
is a more based on people either being to young to know where the audience is made up from. Or how the audience was built up from and where.

Even watching Hogan's old promos now, I still see where he had charisma. Dude comes in flexing his biceps talking about "let me tell you something brother...."

A lot of these newer guys while much better workers than the golden era guys are very wooden personality wise.

Go listen to Hogan's late 80s early 90s pops even as his popularity was waning a bit his pops were much bigger than the baby faces of today.

Ric Flair is another guy that could take a crowd and have it in the palm of his hand while also making some green babyface look like a million bucks.

Flair was more of the total package than Hogan but that conversation is for another thread.
