A #55 pick has no correlation to what's going on in the current youth climate. That U17 group is considered one of the best ever since the tournament was created and they should run through that tourney, just look at what they did to France today.

Agree with posters saying its across the board. We've seen NFL players drafted in the first round never considered one of the best in college during their tenure. They get in through family connections and relationships with the right people in the front offices.

America just beat Guinea today 124-49 and you can tell Guinea was feeling some type of way about it in the first half as they kept taking a few cheap shots at them when it was about a 20-30 point game in the 2nd quarter.

How does this fix things?
I mean you even acknowledge it will never happen. At this point the minor league is the NCAA and goals for the "trench babies" need to be readjusted to getting a free degree + NIL money.
There's a huge market for the level of talent just below NBA level who could ascend to household names after 4 years of NCAA tourney success.
