I think standing still in the pocket with players flying all around you is even more dangerous.
especially behind a bad pass protection unit like the Redskins have.

if RG3 had to drop back from under center behind Tyler Polumbus and Chris Chester :ohlawd:

Okay you can think that, but there's a reason why guys like Vick and Ben are always banged up and Eli Manning has never missed a game in his life.

If you run and slide 3-4 yards before any contact ever, sure that would be great but we both know that's not how it works.

Lets be serious here.

The issue with mobile quarterbacks is they tend to get hit more in general.. Because they are getting hit inside and now outside the pocket

I think that has more to do with the prevalence of injuries than anything.. When you have a mobile Quarterback they are simply going to get hit more over a course of a game because they are trying to make plays with their legs..

The type of hits a quarterback takes in the Pocket is by far more dangerous because they tend not be aware of the hits they are taking.. especially the hits down low

atleast when you are running outside the pocket mostly everything is in front of you and you can atleast see and be ready to take a hit

Andrew Luck was the second most hit QB in the league this season.

Is he a mobile QB?

Well his Mobility is underrated.. But his offense Line is shyt, so that explains that

Lots of offensive lines are shytty. Bottomline, there are tons of reasons QBs get hit...running or not.

It won't be considered complex until Johnny Manzeil (who I'm a fan of) gets to the pros and runs it.

BANK IT!!! :heh:
of course not

shoot, if Jake Locker was running it in Tennessee and he started playing better, they would be talking about his "intellect" and "vision." :mjpls:

Generally speaking, a running QB gets hit more. Don't see how that's being argued.

A QB who gets sacked a lot is in the most danger, but your average running QB takes more hits than your average pocket QB, without question, putting them in more danger.

Rodgers been sacked the most in the NFL, he's doing just fine.

There is a safe way to take a sack, ask Peyton.

:mindblown:

the Pistol is just a damn formation. Like the I formation, single back formation, shotgun formation, or wishbone formation.

The offense is primarily Shanahan's West Coast Offense. The same thing he ran with Steve Young back in 1994, and that he won 2 super bowls with John Elway.

The pistol formation just adds misdirection when running play action or doing the read option.

There is nothing "gimmicky" about this offense, no matter what those doofuses on ESPN tell you.

You might as well just stop arguing with folks about the offense. I personally think it's amazing, but soon as someone sees a new formation all of a sudden it's gimmicky.

This whole shyt reminds me of Warren Moon. I remember when he was playing in the shotgun and it was a gimmick....then when he was balling they started saying it was because of the run and shoot offense being a gimmick. No one said that shyt about Marino though...
