He probably tore his MCL on the botched snap, he should be 100% for next season. The Shanahans are going to have to protect him by having him play more in the pocket and that means they need to fix the right side of their offensive line. The option stuff masked some of their issues there. Griffin also has to be coached up because he is pretty reckless with his body. Lorenzo Alexander was saying last night he wants him to only run as a safety valve. And thats one of their captains saying that.

100%, that dude has the ability to be a top 5 PASSER. Shanahan's took the easy way out and went for the quick success this year with the type of offense implemented.

This dude isn't Tebow, he doesn't need the gimmick stuff to succeed.

The wear and tear on a running QB takes its toll.

Just with that offense, in the one read spread....if that first read isnt there, he's going.....he's going to take too many shots.

Dude was cocky as hell in that postgame. He straight up said "I'm the best option for this team, I had to play". The nikka was at 50% effective at best...Shanny shouldve sat him, he was irresponsible and foolish.

And I swear to god "he's gonna be broken down by 30" is the damn duck call of the north american dumbass sports fan.

"RG3 gonna be crippled by 30 if he keeps playing like this."
"If Lebron doesn't get a jumper he's gonna be garbage by the time he's 30"
"As soon as so and so loses his athleticism, he won't have anything to fall back on"
"Don't pop your knuckles, you gonna have arthritis by the time you're 30"

STFU!

He was better at 50% than Cousins was at full.

I'm not an expert on football by any means, but are you saying because more mobility/running for gains is expected out of the QB in this type of system that he's more of a target for defenses?

I'm just trying to figure out why the pistol keeps being labeled as a "gimmick". I don't know jack shyt about football so enlighten rather than ether me, b.

The type of offense the Skins run lends the QB to take a lot of hits. QB is the most valued position in the game, you go out of your way to avoid the QB getting hit at all costs.

It's not that he's more of a target, the defenders just attack who has the ball. It's the position he is put in with the ball that leaves him open to a lot of hits.

And it's a shame because RG3 has the talent and ability to be the QB who only takes a few hits a game, but instead the offense is a gimmick that works well due to his tremendous speed, but it's a short term solution that can create long term problems.

Dude is in his first year, and he looked like a broken man in that game.

The guys who possess his skills (accurate, leadership, great arm, intelligence) usually play until their late 30's (Brady, Manning. Marino, Elway, Montana, Brees) i`d like to see the same for him

Its different Brady had a injury that could happen to anyone and Peyton got injured after 15 years in the league of being completely healthy

Players like Vick and RG3 take hits that accumulate over the years and wear you down after a certain amount of years

Most NFL qbs don't play as long as Michael Vick, Big Ben and other mobile qbs....I don't get why you're using him as some sort of proof

And he wasn't at 50% to start the game, dude was more around 75%.

After that one pass near the goal line where he planted funny and his helmet came off, that was where he really went down to 50%.

And as for him being cocky (this aint at you, but the guy you quoted) get fukking real. He IS the best option, he is an awesome player and had them up 14-0. You want a guy like that who truly believes in himself, that's a warrior who wont ever give up.

Give me 22 of him please

kinda have mixed feelings. if dude had come off, everyone would have said he was a wuss. that in his first playoff game, he should have showed heart. remember jay cutler. well he did, and it backfired. now everyone is sayng he should have been smart. hypocrites. personally, i wish he would have come off, but football fans for the most part are illogical and would have hated on him. i wish him the best and hope his career aint damaged.
some would've, but it was a different situation altogether, he was previously hurt with an real injury that we knew the diagnosis of and you could see him struggling. cutler both had some injury that didn't "look" serious, and he was disengaged from the game/his team.

If they gave Cousins 4 quarters and practice reps I think we'd have a better shot at making the plays in the 2nd half, the game was lost cuz we couldn't make any plays.

Beyond that I just didn't want to see him gimping up and down the field like that. After the Baltimore game they acted like it was a minor sprain, 3 weeks later he's still fukked up. Why risk it at that point 50% of RG3 is not winning the super bowl, its Cousins or nothing...

I sincerely appreciate them winning the division. But it really wasn't worth the risk.

He gonna break down by the time he 30 body cant handle those hits :win:

he's the sucka for not asking more passing plays and less runnin' plays. The Shanahans dont care. Mike already parlé'd that shyt to a contract extension and Kyle will get a head coaching job soon enough. :win:

I hear you. Basically the organization should have made the decision to basically concede. It sucks...but Griffin is the long term guy and they gave up a ton to get him...they did really botch it if he's really hurt.

You can't ask to change the gameplan to suit yourself, that's kinda silly.

The gameplan was working fine, they got up 14-0 running the ball.

:comeon: The Skins do not run a one-read system nor a spread system. It's Shanahan's west coast passing tree (the same one that Montana and Young and Elway used) with some new pistol and read-option concepts mixed in. It might be the most complex system in the league.
