This, shyt had me :mindblown: at the end when this nikka took on Lockdown one on one with a stupid ass alien sword gun

I swear everybody in the theater was like :beli:

Dude next to me even hit the :camby:

dawg,...
he got the weaponry off of the ship with lockdown on it.
don't you think lockdown would have stockpiled weaponry that could cause him the most damage.

i was glad as hell, to finally see a human bust at a damn transformer with some alien space gun weaponry, with no regard.
if he did not bust back,..
let alone if he did not have a gun..i would have been pissed.
as even in the transformers animated movie...
spike's son had a exo suit to become a human autobot.

so, i did not have a problem with wahlberg's gun fight.
it was like,..... finally!!
a human having a powerful enough gun to do damage and bust back, finally in this franchise.
i was so sick of the transformers franchises never building upon the tech spike and his son had in the movie.
plus, the next gen transformers series after the transformers the movies.

this movie was great.

imo, after part threee second best in the series.

What I don't get is how and advanced alien robot race wasn't able to come close to conquering this planet. They didn't couldn't even take over Chicago. BANE and his goons was able to take over Gotham for 3 months :snoop:

Why would autobots give a shyt about humans at this point is beyond my comprehension. :mindblown:

The really need to reboot/rewrite and do over this whole damn story. The decepticons get dumber and less advanced every sequel it seems. A waste of CGI if you ask me.

they had interaction to explain why optimus and wahlberg linked up.

when, it comes to an alien invasion being successful.
i think you just needed to suspend belief.
also, the decepticons needed to be a bit mindless.
as they had no real spark like the original decepticons.
plus, real talk....
those decepticons were so powerful.
some type of downplaying had to occur, in that situation.
so, i was glad i was able to suspend belief and not feel stupid for enjoying it.
i enjoyed the hell out of this movie, and i dug how long it was, too.

suspend belief = lower your expectations. Why should I have to do that?

By the time you get to the 4th movie you should have been able to refine your shyt. Instead it seams they dumbed it down further and through in more CGI and explosions to make you feel :ahh:

I tried to suspend belief with the last 2 movies but after a while the fukkery in these plots just reek. :scusthov:

dawg, it is not to many villains who have taken over earth in Sci fi flicks.
from what you are saying you want to see battle field earth.
arguably the worst movie ever transposed onto transformers.

As a transformers fanatic I'll give this movie a 4/5.

It's better than Dark Of The Moon but still leagues short of the first one. They did a good job giving the Autobots memorable character traits. The best new autobot was Hound. His scene where he fights to the last of this ammo was great. Without Sam around, they let bumblebee take a back seat to let the new bots shine. Drift being a triple changer was cool and a nice surprise. Crosshairs had a good scene as well.

The dinobots were cool visually but I wish Grimlock actually talked. Still they were shoe horned in the last 15 mins. They will probably take center stage next time.

Lockdown was the real star of the movie for me. He stole every scene he was in. A monster, cruel and to the point, a way better villain than Megatron.

Kelsey Grammar was dope in this too. His character had motive and drive.

Mark is leagues above Shia but the daughter was annoying and the boyfriend was a waste. He didn't need to be included at all. But mark did his thing. Great actor to me.

Galvatron. Can't wait to see what he does in the next film. He was dope in this one for his small role.

As a whole: the movie was dope. I go into a bay film expecting action, explosions, car chases, barely dressed women and cheesy one liners. I got what I expected. My only gripes:

1) 2hr and 45 mins. Way too long. Some parts could have been cut.

2) I miss the decepticons

3) I understand prime was mad but his I'm gonna kill everything was a turn off.

4) the Chinese part was not needed at all.

5) Grimlock not saying anything

Tucci was a gem also. Him and Lockdown and Hound were the best characters.

For a set up movie for a new trilogy, it did it's job. We had a plot with resolution and also some open ended questions to be answered.
China was clearly for funding and international box office :snoop:
Did I miss a mention of what happened to the witwickys?

Bay and a bunch of other Hollywood directors are about to sell out to China. :snoop:

Great article by Variety.

http://variety.com/2014/film/columns/transformers-age-of-extinction-patriotic-for-china-1201257030/

This business and creative model is working, too: “Age of Extinction” is a big hit in the U.S. but bigger still in China. More companies and filmmakers are sure follow this path. So here’s a thought for Bay, Spielberg and everyone in Hollywood who will be doing business with China going forward:

In America, you can lampoon the government and portray the all manner of death and mayhem, as long as you flatter the audience. In China, you can lampoon the audience and portray all manner of death and mayhem, as long as you flatter the government.

And that is why you shouldn’t.

Saw it yesterday and i'll give it a 4/5 as well, very solid addition to the franchise.

I'm glad Wahlberg is in and Shia out.

Agree that Lockdown stole the film. He gave Optimus that work too :whew: Had me wondering what the point of being a Prime was if some non-prime transformer in your weight class could maul you straight up in a fair one. :ohhh:

shyt was long as hell but i view it as getting my moneys worth, but i was getting set to get my nap on by the last 15 minutes.

HATED that Grimlock didn't say shyt, "Me Grimlock..." cmon Bay. :beli:

Walhberg's daughter was... :noah:
