REVIEW: Rate Transformers: Age Of Extinction out of 5 and where it stands in the series

I don't think I've ever seen a movie with more failed attempts at clever one-liners. The script probably hit at about a 3% clip.

Wahlberg is an improvement, but his character and his story/family were a step down. Wholly uninteresting.

Also, the editing is hilariously bad. I'm pretty sure there was a call-back line in the end that was calling back to something that had been cut earlier in the film

Tucci and Grammer were great. Goodman was distracting, imo. It didn't help that everything he said was an awful one-liner.

5/10, but still the 2nd best of the series :welp:

The product placement was sickening, drinking a Bud during invasion


How heavy was that Seed, but the dude running around with it like its nothing


They tell Walhberg to get the Seed over bridge and to get in some clapped out van, One of the Autobots is bloody Bugatti lol get in that and speed off.


Making corny wack ass jokes whilst on some cables between an Alien ship and SearsTower


How many times BumbleBee gonna do diving catches for the humans


How many sunset shots must Bay do


How is dude gonna stop midway thru a robot fight and start kissing his chick

Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) has earned over 100 million dollars in its first week. What an achievement. It was worth watching. Waiting for the next release which is coming next year i.e. 2015.

This movie was made for imax 3d. There is no other way to view this movie and do it justice. I gotta hand it to bay.. the action and explosions were some of the best i have ever seen. Seemed like something was blowing up every 30 seconds and i enjoyed every minute of it.. only thing i didnt like was the in your face product placement ads.. tranforming to a beats by dre pill? i mean Really... marky mark taking a swig of budwiser in the middle of the street? If ik paying damn near 20 bucks a ticket i dont wanna see ads in the movie.

It's because dumb asses who know it's gonna suck, go see it anyway and then complain about how it sucked, But they're one of the reasons why it makes money in the first place and won't change their bullshyt formula.

I honestly think they try to hard, i enjoy transformer movies for what they are

that's because it doesn't require any thought when you watch. Empty calories and a sugar rush. That about it. The same formulas are used. No compelling plot twists. Just a bunch of goobly gop. You got transformers popping up of of thin air without rhyme or reason. I would love to be in pre production meetings for these sequels. It's like they have focus groups with kids, get high and just write down whatever comes to mind.

THe sad thing is that the cartoon was made to sell toys. THey couldn't made up whatever storyline they wanted. Took the franchise wherever they chose, but decided to go the cliche/cookie cutter blockbuster route with explosions and of course the hot young white woman and sappy love angle.

But they do it 4 times in a row

most of the coli it seems, echos the statement that the movie is trash to some degree if not total trash. But the visuals are what keep people coming back for more. Domestically this will be the worst transformers performance yet..so I guess that's a small win for the harshest critics.

worst cast by far. at least let mark wahlberg play to his strengths.. let him be a tough guy mechanic.. not an inventor
