It happens at the time for IMAX. Nolan did it for the The Dark Knight and the Dark Knight Rises. And Scott did it for Prometheus

You've misunderstood me. Bay was mixing aspect ratios in the middle of individual scenes/sequences that were ostensibly supposed to be full Imax.

I watched this on Netflix for the first time since the theatre.....unwatchable straight through without skipping any scene not involving robots
Graphics are :lawd: still though

i watched it on netflix like a week ago.... week ago

they had a good plot............... it was just excited poorly, extremely poorly

i still like 3 the best then 1
2 and 4 are buns

looks like its following the original star trek movie pattern except its the odds not the evens

The first one is just basically xmen I.
It is just there and tells a cool story and ends with the sunset like all the cartoon ep's.
Past that part three is way better and so is this one.

YO, I was listening to a podcast and the were discussing the IMAX 3D release of this film, and they said that there were scenes were Bay decided to jump back and forth between IMAX and standard aspect ratio.....even on shyt like reverse shots :heh:

...that can't be true, can it? :dead:
It's pretty common for IMAX. Christopher Nolan does it constantly.

Yeah, breh. You must be watching hd rips. In The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, and Interstellar Blu-rays there are switching aspect ratios. Look up the specs.

Not mid scene.
