I had to sleep on this to really get my thoughts together and I'll start with this: Michael bay has no idea how to balance character and spectacle anymore. As of now I really wish he'd do a transformers movie without humans because that shyt brings this movie down.

The action is dope and the man knows now to make a gorgeous looking movie from top to bottom. I liked the idea of s bounty being put on Prime's head, the CIA creating a shadow organization to take out all transformers and having the reaction they did to the events of the third because it mirrors our country's reaction to 9/11 and racial profiling etc. Lockdown is that dude and clearly the best part about this movie and the best new transformer they added to the bunch with John Goodman's transformer being a close second.

While I understand Prime's new outlook on killing it wasn't something I can say I was cool with but it worked in context so I can ride with it. I prefer this cast to the old cast by leaps and bounds especially Kelsey grammar playing a straight douche of a villain. But with that said it's when characters start talking that the movie goes downhill and started to bore me. Every damn character minus Mark's, Kelsey's and Prime seemed to act just like the transmorphium: whatever the scene needed that's who they'd be. Stanley Tucci went from a ballbuster to comic relief. The boyfriend(so boring I forgot his name already) went from this hardass willing to do whatever to protect his girl to a cowardly lion type whenever the movie needed a laugh or needed to make Mark's character look better. He and Cade went from having bro moments to pissing contests constantly and it never made sense. One minute he's lecturing Cade about what type of dad he is and the next he's acting like a complete bytch. He's willing to show plenty of PDA in front of the man but scared to tell him he was creeping at his crib?:why: There's another scene with the two of them that bugged me but I won't spoil it for anyone but if you've seen it, it's the scene where they commence the rescue and try exchange some more words that make no sense. The daughter was completely bipolar as well although she wasn't completely worthless.

Bay has this tendency to pause the action to have these character moments that just don't work in this movie or have his "comic" characters become so annoying that I wish they'd hit the bushes and a few of them do in this movie thankfully. The corny humor from the first three is toned down a lot which is great but a lot of the humor that's in it didn't work for me. I laughed at parts but it was a lot of swings and misses. I know these are popcorn flicks so I don't need or expect excellent dialogue but it would be nice to get ok dialogue and consistent characters and this movie misses the boat on both fronts. I enjoyed it but not as much as I wish I would've and at basically these hours there's not enough character or action to keep my attention because the second half of this movie is rather meh compared to the first half which was cool and dope
In all reality it should have ben 2 movies. I disagree with you about the action in the second half but there was a point halfway through the movie were I was actually bout to go to sleep then the action picked up and kept me interested. Overall I go to a transformers movie for the action and not Shakespearian performances so it delivered in all fronts. PLus that 19 year old bytch was bad as fukk. :takedat:

Breh I'm not asking for Shakespeare lol which is why I said the acting in this one is much better than anything in the previous 3 but I DO ask for consistent characterization that's all. I don't need this movie to have awesome Sorkin or Mammet like dialogue, this isn't that type of party, but dammit man at least make your characters consistent from one scene to the next as opposed to making them fit whatever the script says you need at any given moment. And that's what I ask of any movie because it's basic as fukk to do especially when no one is asking for anything great of the actors or the dialogue. If a director or the screenwriter can't comprehend character, that's a problem

And she's cute breh but I was never into her even when she was on Bates Motel. Really cute but too skinny for my blood.

I haven't seen it but I will.

I have to say...one thing I haven't liked about the Transformers films is Bumblebee.

Maybe it's because I'm :old: and i'm used to the first cartoons but they made him too tough. He was the little runt and now he's killing Ravage and Soundwave? Come on man.

I've never been one of those people that complained about the humans in this series but :snoop: I swear out of the 2hrs and 45mins the Transformers were on screen like maybe 45mins. The storyline was so incoherent and all over the place :mindblown: I liked this series but after this I was like please reboot this......... Why was Galvatron's voice so drastically different was Frank Welker still voicing him? Plus Galvatron and the Decepticons were secondary almost seemed pointless to the story :beli: 5/10

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
I don't get how people paid to this see this then complain even though it should've been expected as the movies have gotten progressively worse.

This movie is basically the equivalent of an amusement park ride. People only care about the explosions, loud noise and CGI. For some reason it grabs their emotions. A dumbed down viewing mindset
