^ You're talking about Ken Dorsey.

Remember Cody Pickett.

One of my worst young Niners memories was that year Steve got the concussion that ended his career from Aeneas Williams( bum ass Lawrence Phillips)

We came back with pretty high expectations after losing to the Falcons in the divisional mainly because Hearst got hurt early and the entire year exploded in flames. Do y'all remember Steve Stenstrom? That muthafukka was so awful. One of the worst games I ever seen in my Niner life was the Monday night game against the Packers that season. They scheduled it as a marquee rematch after the Catch II game, but with no Steve it was disgusting to watch. Only bright spot that year was Charlie Garner( that X he used to throw up for his hometown) and Jeff Garcia towards the end.

I still think Garcia/Owens/Garner then Hearst era offense>>>this current one. Eric Johnson was solid and Fred Beasley was the man.
oh yea, this is the closest weve came to that one since then.

and the key to both was offensive line ! well TO at his peak didnt hurt either :lolbron:

I actually think Roman is a solid OC, but I am absolutely befuddled by his playcalling today.

Roman's fine if we are ahead or just 1 score down but if the lead gets bigger then it's pretty much :mindblown: city.

Short week against Seattle. I'm kinda shook brehs, don't know if Alex can bounce back with little to no time to practice

That's what we get for not addressing QB this offseason. Seeing how competitive the division is playoffs aren't guaranteed. You can improve the WRs all you want it doesn't matter when you have a QB incapable of getting the ball to them past 10 yards.

roman alex and secondary definitely the biggest culprits.

the more times teams play against us the better they get at adjusting to our offense (and defense to a lesser degree)

I feel roman starts panicking too when shyt doesnt go his way.

Roman is a good OC but he was trying to do too much we should have stuck with our power running packages with that said its just 1 game I alway knew this game was a toss up I'm just more concerned about Seattle on a short week

Let's give some credit to the Giants, Eli Manning is an elite playmaker and he tore our DB's to shreds. I think we tried to get too cute on offense, and the Giant defense picks shot like that apart. We should played the smash mouth football we know we can play, but I agree Seattle and Arizona are almost as good as we are and I'm worried about those games.

See that aint totally true, because he had a great comeback W vs. Philly last year, this was just a clusterfukk of a game.

He's feeling himself too much

It's silly to act like Alex is a bum after this one game, lets be real.

He played like dog shyt and was the main reason we lose, but this SF Jets offense is getting hard to stomach too

Im starting to think last year was an anomaly...saints lions and eagles also had shytty defenses to be fair. no slight to alex but so far he's 0 for 2 in games where he had to comeback

I know he had a bad game... A very bad game against a very good team and defending champs, but I don't think there is a need to hit the panic button yet. Hell, not making excuses but if anything now I wonder is his throwing hand really good or really worse off then they are letting the public know

Yep, I agree there is reason for concern, I just wish we weren't running the Jet offense

What was most surprising was all the mistakes, he hasn't played that bad in years.

I was shocked we didn't go to Kaep after the third one
